Went to eat with my wife for our anniversary. I got the captains platter and while the food was decent it was quite small for $30. My wife got the chicken permavera and she thought it was bland. My wife will only eat bland food so this was shocking. We told out waitress who took the food quickly but then came back and said the manager said he wouldnt do anything about poor tasting food and that we can order another dish and pay the diffrence or we are SOL. We had a move starting in 20 min so we had to go. We will never go back Poor service.Over priced. Looks rinkydink on the inside.
The location of this place and the windows facing the lake, make this restaurant worth going to. We were here on a Sunday, so we both had the broasted chicken all-you-can-eat special. This included a small salad which was fine, a choice of fries, baked potato or rice. The fries were good, but the baked potato was reheated and not worth eating. The chicken was terrific. The bar was a popular hangout for locals, etc. Eating here once was fine, but enough for me.
The view of the lake was beautiful- the food and the prices were great ! Our service????? I would give 0 stars if i could. we had a reservation for 7 pm...did not sit down until after 8, and our waitress was a beast! Every comment was rude as can be, she rolled her eyes at my father in law after asking if he could have soup & xxx.... not a single smile, a thanks, or anything... I would go back, but man i wish i knew her name. i surely wouldnt sit in that section!
Dropped in for a drink and to give the place the once over...jeff behind the bar was so personable.... besides making a very good drink. The view was serene even though you were surrounded by typical bar noise. Extensive menu. Will make reservations and drive in for dinner.
We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday night, no reservations and the place was packed. We accepted first available and were taken almost immediately to a high top table in the bar. Our server was very attentive considering how busy she was. We had the 8oz. Sirloin and Shrimp and the Lobster with a 6oz fillet. Steaks were a perfect medium rare as ordered. Lobster tender and sweet, was done to perfection and the light beer batter shrimp were large and tender. Spinach salad was delicious with homemade hot bacon dressing. House salad ordered with French and Bleu Cheese was loaded with fresh crumbled cheese. No room for dessert. This was an exceptional experience and highly recommended if you are in the Port Washington area. Weekend dinner reservations would be a good idea. We will definately return.
Nice Location on the water with ample parking. Cold night in June they had a fireplace and heaters so we could eat out side without reservations. Inside had a 1 1/2 hour wait. Outside was perfect there was a sand pit with toys for the kids to play in and food and drink was very good.
It's ok. Not nearly as good as it used to be. We always went for their sunday brunch. But now the food that is supposed to be hot, is cold and the food that is supposed to be cold, is warm or room temp. They've gotten complacent knowing the locals will always go there.
The other reviewer is right also, their service is always rude. What is up with that????
It's a local favorite, but for people who know food, they won't be too impressed.
Well, I REALLY love the food here! It's nice for a casual dinning experience. And of course you can't beat the location!!!
But, Unfortunately I always have rude servers, and the bathrooms could use some spiffing up.
