Harry's is a great stop for breakfast on weekends or a great diner sandwich or burger. Not fancy by any means, but the food and service are great. I recommend getting an omelette for breakfast; the ingredients are very fresh.
There are basically two Harry's in one restaurant. The first, as you enter, is a diner-like room with counter seating where you can watch the grill chefs cook your meal. There are booths to sit in that face the sidestreet. It is vintage 1960s. If you get there early in the morning (5:30) there is a good chance you can listen to the charter boat captains discuss business, the lake, town politics ~ you name it. It is small town Americana at it's best.
The other room is a dining room that lacks any ambiance whatsoever. But who cares? You go to Harry's for the Farmer's Skillet and the bottomless cup of coffee!
The waitstaff is very effiecient, usually conversational (when they are busy ~ which is often ~ it is understandable they don't make idle chat too much), and very attentive.
The food is good ~ especially breakfast. But save room for the Jewish coffee cake (heated with butter), which is pure heaven!
