Heidel's Restaurant, Jackson

Been a customer for a long while, after sitting at the bar area a the last few times to eat and observing the bartender & cook make our food with BARE hands and touching uncooked food and then cooked food with just wiping their hands on a bar rag in between, that fell on the floor minutes earlier, We were disappointed and grossed to say the least. I'm wondering how this is sanitary and healthy? The food used to be good.....wondering if they use expiration dates on the hamburger meat and have timers for the fryers??? Things you wonder about after witnessing what we saw.

Wow! I booked the (free) hall for my parents 50th wedding anniversary party and was totally blown away by the service and food! They are true professionals, serving a delicious buffet. The hall was decorated beautifully, and the staff honored all of my special requests. Once the buffet was served, the staff came around to each table to serve coffee, milk and water. After serving the beverages, they also came around and served the cake -- which was cut at no additional charge. Everyone there was so helpful and made the party a very special event for my parents! I would choose to book another party with them in a heartbeat! Wonderful place, and wonderful people!

Awesome walleye pike fish fry. The best around! Nice bar area too.

We were at Heidel's once... Just and average hamburger. Can get better hamburgers at Culvers.. My soda had to consist of four ounces of soda, at best. Served in a small cocktail glass with lots of ice. We really wanted to like Heidel's because we moved into a new condo in the area. One thing that turns us off is a poor drink, whether it is alcohol or soda, coffee, etc... The restaurant was clean, so I will give it three stars for that.
