Thunder Bay Grille, Davenport

Too expensive - a bottle of beer was $3.75! And spider crawled on us while eating!

Went on Sat to Thunder Bay Grille in Davenport, IA, for a birthday luncheon with friends, and although our waiter was great; the wait time between seating, beverages, taking orders, and food delivery was very long. We asked to have all our food (some were only enjoying Tappas or appetizers as their meal) brought out together, but it seemed they brought things out as they were cooked. The food was just OK. Nothing to write home about. I did enjoy the Seafood Fondue. It was the highlight of the experience there. I would probably not recommend this restuarant to anyone and I will probably never go there again!

Horrible. Went at Mothers Day. Was seated downstairs on a card table Food was cold and horrible. Not much to choose from. Had to wait over half an hour for waitress to give us our bill. For $19.95 I expect hot delicious food. So I complained. Got 4 free brunches. Went back. Not any better. Had a piece of cold chicken which tasted like fish. All food was cold and blah tasting. Omelette maker was rude as was the waitress after we presented our freebies. She said we still had to pay for drinks and left. Never saw her again. $11.00 for 4 drinks. Will never go back. Not worth the money nor the gas to go.

Pretty, good, however lighting in the restaurant isn's very good, and strange music is played frequently. But the food and the service are both second to none, overall, I'd eat here again.

What happened to my favorite restaurant? On Saturday Dec 19, 2009 Pasta dishes were cold... Chicken salad sandwich was boring.. only mayo, gobs of iceburg lettuce and chicken.. no nuts or fruit Mac n cheese had grease floating on top.. I was trying to show you off to my guests...

We have eaten here many times, and love the relaxed atmosphere and great food. We have never had a bad meal or bad wait staff. Nick is the manager and just a terrific guy.

We arrived at the restaurant at 9:55 Sunday morning, there were nine of us in the party for Brunch, including senior citizens (ages 75-85 yrs old). The lobby was empty and people were coming in and getting seated right away. We did not have reservations, but they were seating people (parties of 5+) without reservations while we were standing there. We waited until 10:35, only to be escorted up a long stairwell to something that looked like a storeroom. There were 3 tables with 2 chairs and no place settings. This meant that these senior citizens, who had to hold the banister to climb the stairs would have to carry their brunch plates up and down the steps. This was a BIG mistake. Thunder Bay Grille, along with its franchise partners, has lost my business forever. Steven M.
