Excellent food and Skilled and Courtious Staff, Would recommend highly

I was introduced to Reifies by my fiance (now husband) several years ago. I enjoy their food very much, it is a step above very good, home style cooking, but a home style attitude. We like their food so much, that we had them cater our wedding reception. (A friend also had them cater their wedding and I was impressed the quality and quantity of food). We had so much food left that we took about 40% of it to a local homeless kitchen after (and we had the exact number show up that we reserved for). Their wait staff has always been friendly and professional, the place is always clean. Please try it yourselves. It is a pleasant place with quality food. No one I know has ever had a negative comment about the place, and our crowd eats out, a lot. There fried chicken and soup are both exceptional.

So my grandparents have goen to Riefe's my whole life. Well at our most recent breakfast attempt, we proceeded to sit down and have a family breakfast and out of nowhere one of the waitresses (who I knew personally) ran up to our table (in front of my mother and children) and starts yelling and cussing me out and threatening to "whoop my ass" and said "I already told my boss I am going to whoop your ass". It was very startling and unprofessional. We just got up and left and as we were leaving my mother complained to the owner himself and he said nothing but well I understand she doesnt like your daughter and that was that and then walked away from my mother. The owner allowed his waitress to behave very umprofessionaly and rudely and did NOTHING about it! Oh yeah, he suggested WE leave! haha-I am still in shock and needless to say he just lost longtime customers becasue his waitress was allowed to behave tacklessly and cuss the cusomter out. Yeah, wont be going there again!

Worst place to eat. I will save the big long detailed story I have been posting everywhere I can find & I'll just sum it up here! I was served a raw pork chop sandwich, the outside scored on the grill, but the inside raw as could be. Then my son & I witnessed not only one but two waitresses eating off plates the were about the serve. You know, picking at the fries and the salad with their fingers. The one waitress was actually still chewing the food as she served the plate to the customer. Then after this RAW experience, never even an apology from the owner or the waitress, and to top it off- We were charged. Paying for a completely unsatisfactory meal, raw meat, and a rude waitress. We are notifying the Health Department about this incident, and hopefully they will screw up again with someone from the Health Department sitting in the restaurant to witness it all.

Our family enjoys take out and Riefes is our choice , They have the best hot beef sandwhich,and the best breaded tenderloin sandwhich in town

I can't speak for other meals, but this is my favorite breakfast place in the QC. It is so refreshing to dine in a smoke-free establishment, with delicious food, super service, inexpensive pricing, and fresh mini-donuts on every table! They're open late, too.
