Best locally owned restaurant chain in the Quad Cities! I just cant get enough of their fresh baked bread. You can get yourself a tasty gyro pizza at the Bettendorf location but I prefer the lasagna dinner(comes with salad and Garlic bread). Don't forget to grab a loaf of cinnamon bread for dessert. Its the bomb! The portions are huge, priced just right, and the service is great. Only thing missing from this mom and pop store is delivery.

In house order for take out. Waited on right away, took forever to get our sandwiches. Sandwiches were great and there would have been another star had the food came faster. 20 minute wait and simplier orders were filled before ours.........

My son used to go to Grinders when he lived in the area and took me to the place. We drive over an hour to get their great sandwiches and bread. We love it. When my son is in the area he aways stops and gets some to go. They are the best.

What was up tonight I dont know. I ordered food from this place and it took them 20 minutes to give me my food. And when I did get my food and I got home my garlic bread was burned and I didnt even get my meatballs. There was sauce all down the side of the bucket of my spaghetti and the bottom of my bag was wet.

Grinders is the best. Subway and hungry hobo cant compete with there prices and there bread. We love grinders. They also have awsome lunch specials.

Always a great meal without paying a lot of money. Their sweet bread makes great meatball sandwiches, garlic, etc. They use the K.I.S.S. method and it works, no frills and consistent. I usually get a half-gallon of some pasta and a loaf of garlic and that will last our little family a couple days for a little $$ and a lot of taste!

Great food, great price and excellent service

We visit the Grinders on Locust street about once a month for take out. The food is really good, and the bread is out of this world... the cinnamon bread is the best!! My little ones like the cinnamon bread for breakfast too! If you go you have to try both breads and the meat ravioli. You won't be disappointed.

Don't eat in - it will be a disappointment. Their family pak is GREAT! Tortellini, with cinnamon bread and gondola (like a foot long hoagie) will please your family and fill them up.

Gotta have my Gondolas! Great lunch specials. Not always the best service but you go there for a good deal and good food. I wish they were open on Sunday's when I have the Gondola desire during the game!

Diamond in the rough

Fabulous food found in a hole in the wall type establishment. Grinders might not look anything fancy but the food is to die for! I especially reccoment the Italian Beef sandwich with marinara and cheese. It literally melts in you mouth and their bread is AMAZING!
