El Rancho Mexican Restaurant, Cedar Rapids

this is probably the best Mexican food in town. unfortunately for cedar rapids, this is the best Mexican food in town. the food here tastes the same as most of the other Mexican restaurants in town (i think the all have the same distributor). its a step up from taco bell,carlos o'kellys and such, but its nothing to write home about. the beef tacos are boring, the queso dip is runny ,the chips bland .

There's a family run atmosphere about this place that I like - the food was authentic and had great flavor. Margaritas were excellent as well. I highly recommend this place.

Lively place at lunch an dinner. The fajitas are excellent. Burrito Del Rancho is another favorite. Service is friendly and quick. Food is always served hot. Watch out for the calculating though, I've caught them more than once jacking up the prices!

The fajitas are delicious and plenty for 2 people. The chips are fresh and the salsa flavorful. It's the best overall Mexican food in town.

From the outside, the building is not so impressive. Regardless, El Rancho offers the best authentic mexican in Cedar Rapids, in a clean, friendly environment. The kids love it and its relatively inexpensive. If you haven't been here, try it.

Everytime I eat at El Rancho I think of visiting my Grandma's house as a kid. The food is very authentic to what you would be served in a home in Mexico. The prices are very reasonable and the service is quick. I take my family to eat there five or six times per month. I highly recommend El Rancho for regular visits.
