Keepers Cafe, Reading

I remember when this restaurant was an authentic country store with a breakfast/lunch counter, an elderly store keeper/cook/waitress and a friendly, Sylvester looking cat. Now it is an outstanding restaurant with the cousine and service to compete with anything I have experienced, anywhere in the world. Exciting specials that will amaze you, service that is both swift and friendly and a bistro atmosphere that is heartening and fun. Simply and perfectly wonderful.

best food in the area - don't waste your time going anywhere else!

We stumbled on this place after looking for restaurants in the vicinity of Ascutney Mountain. What a pleasant surprise. Relaxed atmosphere, made even better by the warm, friendly service. The food was as unique as it was delicious. Best meal we've had in a long time. This out of the way place should not be kept a secret!

Food, service was awsome. However, cannot get into your web as when you click on menu, pictures etc you get Yahoo main page. Where do you go from there? Very frustrating!!

Great local beers, excellent cuts of steak, flavorful salads. Staff extremely friendly, wonderful service. Next time I pass through VT I definately will be stopping there!
