Leaning Tower of Pizza, Ankeny

Poorly managed resturant. Food is greasy and service is very poor. Staff is uninterested and looks unmotivated. When you drain the grease it was better than LittleCeasars, so they have that going for them. The dining experience was poor. The older building has a nice atmosphere, but dirty bathrooms are not charming. Expect to spend 90 to 120 minutes here waiting.

Second time here so time to write a review. Shoed up about 530pm on 1-27-09. Kind of busy so that is good. Ordered a taco and a sausage light on the cheese and extra sauce. First the good or really good. One of the better taco pizzas around. No skimping on the ingrediants as the lettuce and chips were piled high. Thright amount of kick when you put the taco sauce on it as the pizza itself is fine without and has a mild kick. Compared to the last Caseys taco skimpy pizza from Sunday this one had enough toppings for 4 Caseys large pizzas and it was a small. Very well done by the staff on this one. The sausage was another story. First the crust which was good and crispy just like it was on the taco. But after that this is not a good pizza. My taste may be off but I did not care for the sauce at all. Very bland blah or whatever you want to call it. No flavor. My wife even agreed. What they gave you in toppings on the taco was gone on this one as very few sausage bites could be seen. There may have been very few on the taco too, but the lettuce and chips covered it up so did not notice. anyway back to this pizza. I asked for light cheese, oohh boy I would hate to see what regular is as if this was light then there was more than plenty still for 2 pizzas here. Granted this did not hinder the taste of the pizza really, but did not make it better. Sausage was decent but not my favoite. Overall this pizza was not my favorite and I would not come back for it as I cannot correct the sauce by telling them to change it as I could with telling them less and less cheese. This has liitle to do with taste and I think it is everywhere but the pieces were cut terrible. Wife who likes cheese said I want that sausage with lots of cheese so I gave it to her and she goes I did not want it that big. She could not even see the cut marks as there was so much less cheese and she saw my piece I just ate. well that large piece she got was bigger thank 3 of the little ones I just ate. I think with so many different taste buds in this world and all that alot of people would and do like the sauce on this pizza and I do not. The crust was good which is important and so were the ingrediant. Give it a try and see what you think but do get the taco as it was one of the better ones around.

They have the best pizza I have ever had! The sausage and beef are the best kinds they have. Its kinda expensive but you pay for what you get.

Great place to eat in Ankeny. It's a good change from all the fast food places. I would recommend Leaning Tower to everyone who likes good food and pizza.

This is good quality pizza. It's not my favorite, but I'm not going to bash them because my taste buds are weird. My whole family loves this pizza and they don't get anything else.
