Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, Marshalltown

If you're hungry late at night dont even bother. The staff is decent but the management is awful and extremely rude. I came later at night with a large group of friends and one of them accidently spilled some syrup on the floor, and I dont know if it was management but seemed to be, treated my friend as if she just created major chaos. She was rude to my friend even after she apologized repeatedly, and kept telling her that she didnt believe it was an accident.

Went in at 8:40AM. Served at 10:15AM. Had to asked if our order had been forgotten. Then.. came the waitress with it. Half of the food was cold, and the other half hot and dried. This restaurant used to be good. Used to have quality assurance, and quality service. Or new managemet is needed or needs to be closed.

I've been to several decent Perkins, but the Perkins in Marshalltown is terrible. The manager that is always there when I arrive is extremely rude, which will be quite apparent if you arrive even an hour or two from closing time. A manager with ambition and motivation could quickly fill a huge gap in dining options in restaurant, but instead management closes early whenever they choose to and are extremely rude. Go to Wendy's or Hardee's instead late night.

I dislike Perkin's Family Restaurant in Marshalltown because of the overall service. The service just stinks! There is no ambition in any of the waiters or waitresses. Not even the manager has any ambition. If people had to ask me for a good place to eat in Marshalltown Perkin's would not be on my list. Though the only reason Perkin's is still open in Marshalltown because there is no other place for the local drunks to go after bars/pubs close. So, if you're absolutely hungry and it's late on the weekend, Perkin's Family Restaurant is about your only choice unless you want fast food. (i.e. Hardee's or McDonald's)
