Frank's Place, Sault Ste Marie

Other reviews referred to Frank s as a greasy spoon - it s not. What it is is a Mom and Pop family restaurant. We ate here for the first time this past weekend and were happy with the food, prices and service. Only complaint is they don t serve any type of alcohol, otherwise would have rated it 5 stars.

The best restaurant ive ever been to! I went for a date, hanging with friends (im in college), and I took my family there. all of us were satisfied with the food, service, price value, and environment. Kinda an oldstyle place with malts to die for!!!!

2008--I had two great dinners at Frank's Place while on vacation. The service was outstanding, and the food was even better. The broiled whitefish was superb. Decent, but small salad bar, but I especially loved the meatball soup. Didn't try the desserts, because the portions were huge. Everyone should try this restaurant. 2009--I went back to Sault Ste. Marie on vacation again this summer, and visited Frank's Place three times. I had two dinners and a great, inexpensive breakfast buffet there, too. Now it's non-smoking, which made it even better. Still amazing food. I had a wonderful, huge turkey dinner one night which was as good as any I can remember. Plus, it was around ten bucks. Wow! I can't wait for next summer! 2010--I again visited Frank's Place. I hate to admit that I had three turkey dinners while vacationing in the area, but I did. Still awesome food. Tried the fish one time, too. It was great. I really love the salad bar and the soup selections. This might be my favorite restaurant I've ever visited. I'm just glad I don't live in the area. I don't think my waistline could handle it! Looking forward to 2011.

You will find something you like here and the staff are great. I like franks for breakfast, but the coffee is a bit on the weak side ( way too weak for me, but im a coffee fanatic).

Not at all fancy, but it's clean. It's open early (or maybe even all night, I'm not sure.) So, if I am in town early for appointments, I stop at Frank's. Food is good. People are friendly.

We had 3 meals at Franks while on vacation...breakfast, lunch and supper. All three meals were FANTASTIC! The service was wonderful, the portion sizes were quite generous and the food itself was excellent! We would definitely go there again and would recommend Frank's Place to everyone!

Franks is a nice diner. They have some good food at good prices, but they can get loud and busy so.metimes. At times you have to wait a while for the server to come back after you've been seated. But, all in all they're pretty good

It is nice in this day and age to still get a home cooked meal.the food is wonderfull and the staff makes you feel like you are part of the faimly.I recomend this place to everyone I can.Thanks Frank for still providing a good sit down meal at a good price.
