My son and I went for a meal at this restaurant. He ordered almond chicken, the chicken was dry and tasteless and when we called for the manager, her response was that the chicken was not supposed to have any flavor…..WHAT? I thought the purpose of eating at restaurants was to experience different and various flavors. I had a dish that was supposed to have an assortment of vegetables in a curry sauce with chicken, the dish however consisted mainly of onions floating in curry sauce, when I mentioned that if I had wanted fried onions and chicken, I would have ordered it, the manager’s response was that no one else had complained about this….. The manager was very defensive which lead me to believe that others had the same complaints. Also, we were also supposed to get egg drop soup with our meals, but the waitress forgot to bring it, when we enquired about the soup she said that she could get us soup to go. This restaurant used to be good but it had gone downhill since they renovated the interior.
I've eaten there over 11 yrs & never had a bad or so-so meal. Over 25 yrs in restaurant management & coming fom big city (Phila) gives me some credibility. Portions are reasonable and prices astounding, especially lunch (11-4)-less than $15 (tea included). At these prices you can't go wrong! Nice informal atmosphere & friendly, attentive waitstaff.
Stopped there for the first time while on vacation recently. Soup was good. I had some fried rice for my meal. Far, far below average. It was very salty. That flavor overpowered the rice and other seasonings. Not impressed. For those who really like this place, come to Chicago some time and try some real Chinese food. It will make you see what a sub-par place this is. Service was very inattentive. Not impressed at all. Usually Chinese restaurants have some of the best wait staff, but not this place. My waitress was too busy fiddling with napkins and silverware to see if people needed anything else. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant if the food was free.
This place is the best restaurant in town for sure!!! Great food, Great Service, Great portions, and also a Great reasonable price!!!! idk why people are writing such poor reviews! that's sad cuz they probably dont know how great food tastes like anyways! lol! but like i said Indo is the best place to have lunch and dinner with family and etc...and they are probably the cheapest restaurant in town! So i would highly recommend this place to everybody!!! :)
This is the best Thai restaurant around!! and for the person that said it's not authentic...they couldn't be further from the truth. They use tons of fresh, crips vegetables, the food is made fresh and fast to order and the price is amazing for the amount of food you get! We cross the International Bridge to go there at least once a month!
The crab wontons are fresh, crispy and delicious and the eggdrop soup is out of this world! This is a must try for anyone living or visiting Sault Ste. Marie (Michigan or Ontario).
Love, love, love this restaurant...and having lived in the BIG city, I can tell you that you won't find better Thai food anywhere!
