Authentic and Fresh!: This is one of Grand Rapids hidden treasures. Alan Giam, the owner, is the proud owner of this incredible restaurant Do not be alarmed by the hanging fowl in the windows, they are the most delicious and satisfying smoked goodies you will ever have in your life. Ask for half a duck, and be prepared for a juicy, mouth watering dish. On weekends, Dim Sum is served table to table. We found the snack sized dishes to be incredibly fresh and perfect. The stuffed eggplant or the tofu, or shrimp dumplings, there is Bao, a steamed bread with a barbeque filling of meat, ask the servers what the dishes are, and just get a million of them. Its most fun to come with a few friends, and share about 30 different goodies amongst yourselves. There is a fresh water fish tank with fresh fish, fresh lobsters too. We have been to some of the best asian restaurants in the world, but Wei Wei is tops amongst them. PS if you know of a dish and its not on the menu, just ask for it! The chefs here are incredible! No dried out stale buffet items here. Only the best. The baby bok choy dish is to be savoured. Bon apetite!!
We went there for dim sum with high hopes after reading multiple good reviews. However, our experience was not decent. We wanted more dim sum dishes but there were out and the waittresses were less than helpful & friendly. DO NOT EXPECT a friendly greeting from them!
If you are living in GR, MI and craving for dim sum, I guess this is the place to go because it is the only place the serves dim sum, but just expect too much out of it. We left the restaurant with our pockets emptied & not satisfied. By the way, I am chinese and believe me, dim sum taste better than what they had to offer,
this place is incredibly, the food is fresh and hot. i live about 1 hour away from grand rapids and my family and friends love to drive all the way to wei wei to eat all the time. i must admite however it's a bit pricey but i think it's well worth it.
