House of Flavors Restaurant
House of Flavors Restaurant, located on the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan, in Ludington, MI. Our goal is to bring back family style dinning to the way it was intended, by providing quality meals and desserts, a fun family style environment, and superior service. Our restaurant is a 50ac(2)s diner chucked full with mementos of our rich history of our past including our vintage 50ac(2)s jukebox and famous Life Magazine Cover. Specializing in fresh roasted turkey, wonderful specialty sandwiches, homemade soups, and of course some of the midwest finest made ice cream weac2re sure to have something for everyone. Our ice cream served is made with pride by our sister company, House of Flavors Inc, which is located directly behind the restaurant. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It isnac2t a trip to Ludington without a stop at House of Flavors
The food at this restaurant was adequate, but the ice cream was outstanding. We had the turkey dinner and the chicken with dried cherry salad. We liked the ice cream so much that we came here twice during the 3 days that we stayed in the Ludington area. The superman ice cream was very unusual. It is a combination of 3 ice creams. My husband and I shared the 5 scoop sampler. This is a great way to try out a lot of different flavors.
Anyone who has ever spent more than a few hours in Ludington could probably say they have eaten at The House of Flavors. Their own ice cream and made-on-the-spot waffle cones and dishes are not to be beaten by ANYBODY! Yumm!
Since the Neill's have taken House of Flavors over the quality of the food has plummeted. Poor, poor food and service. The ice cream is stil good but way over priced. I also understand they are a poor employer as well.
Wow, they make all of their ice cream there, and it really shows. The ice cream is delectible, but, I have never eaten anything else there but some butterfly shrimp once, but they were only o.k. I would strongly suggest this restaurant/ ice cream botique.
No visit to Ludington is complete without a visit (or 10) to the House of Flavors, a Ludington institution. The ice cream, which is made on property, is fantastic, as are the freshly made cones. The House of Flavors offer a wide variety of flavors, many of which are unique to the restaurant (e.g. Blue Moon, Superman, etc). For brave/hungry visitors, The House of Flavors offers a Pig's Dinner (four scoops of ice cream, each with its own topping, seved in a trough), which comes complete with a pin. Enjoy.
