a lovely place to lunch

I took my 12 year old niece to eat at Pekadill's yesterday, and she fell in love with the place. (I did, too.) The food is good, the staff are very friendly, and the garden seating area is a fantastic place to spend half an hour on a sunny day.
I'm a bit of a potato snob, and their cream of potato soup is some of the best I've ever had. My sister has eaten there a number of times, and she told me that all of their soups are delicious.
It's not the cheapest place to eat, but why eat greasy McDonald's food when you can pay just a couple bucks more at a local restaurant and get a substantial meal that tastes good? I paid $6.50 for a chicken breast club sandwich with a side of potato salad, which I thought was steep for a sandwich, but there was more than enough for two people to split. The sandwich was huge.
They don't have their own parking lot, so you park on the little side street, but even going on a crowded day, there was a nearby place.
You're really missing out if you don't try this restaurant.
