Last night I am sorry to say that I had, hands down, the worst pizza I have ever had in my life...they did take half off the cost after acknowledging the raw dough which pretty much makes any pizza inedible but word of warning on the pesto chicken even if its in cooked all the way through, there was so much blue cheese smeared on it it was all you could taste. I took two bites & may never be able to eat blue cheese again...
My family and i had dinner here the other night, The food and service was excellent. I have had pizza all over and this had to be the best pizza around. $5.99 for an all you can eat buffet.....cant beat the price, we will be back
I was recently to Village Inn as a bar customer a few times last month and the month before. They had excellent food and great T.V.'s. The bartenders had smiles and nice personalities; they seemed knowlegeable on the different beers drinks and food. I like sitting at the bar because it seems there is always freindly people to meet and talk with it reminds me of Cheers, everyone is so freindly.I would recommend the pizza its excellent.
The happy hours are great deals. Also with Michigan law change smoking is no longer allowed, so it smells good in there.
Where to start? Diane the daytime bartender is very friendly. Sheila used to work there and for a stupid mistake does not. she and Diane were the best Bartenders there.......Other bartenders there don't deserve serving animals. God forbid if you ask them to do there job and get you something they forgot on your order! there waitress and wait staff is the worst in town. I frequently eat out so I know. Applebees is about the best. Oh and I do not sit at the bar anymore cause the poor attitude the bar tenders exhibit, they tend to visit with the regulars and God forbid if you should want a drink when there chit chatting. I guess we are doing them a favor by visiting there establishment. I wish they would open a bar on the south side to take as much business from VI as possible. I have much more to say, but you get the picture!
I have been going to Village Inn for nearly 20 years, even worked there for a summer. Lately however, it is not worth a trip there anymore. The prices have skyrocketed on the new menu, and the quality of the food has been slipping.
The servers are OK and generally friendly, the bartenders all have an attitude. The Mexican food is a joke, and the subs are good, but a sub sandwhich and fries will set you back nearly 10 bucks. And where the pizza used to be loaded with ingredients, they now have far less quantity of toppings than Pizza Hut. They have about 20 TV's in the bar area, but if your favorite sport isn't baseball, you can forget about watching it.
Village Inn has lost a two decade customer permanently.
