Porto Bello, Grand Haven

this place is great! Im from the area and i love going to Porto Bello. The servers are very friendly and helpful. They have lots of pasta dishes and pizzas that are delicious. On the weekends they have live music at the bar which provides a real nice dining experience! I would recomend this place to anyone.

This is a must when visiting Grand Haven. The food is fresh and home made, I swear the pizza's are flown in from Italy! The chicken pesto pizza is incredible. The service is 5 star, the kids are local college kids, that will offer friendly advice as far as food choices, and entertainment in the town. The bartender won people's choice award, and the music was top notch. The only draw back is that you leave the place full, happy and usually with a to go container. The Chicken Parm and the zesty sausage alfredo are a must try. The home made vodka sacue I could eat all day long!! The upstairs banquet facility also hosted one of my friends wedding reception and what a place or hidden gem that is!!

I have not had a bad experience at this place yet, they just keep hitting home runs! With three children, it's hard to find some place that can take good care of you and your kids as well, but Porto manages to make it happen with a great menu selection not only for us, but the kids as well. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! If it's a night where we get to leave the kids home, the restaurant also provides an excellent atmosphere for that, along with great music in the evenings. Whether it's outside on a warm summer night or cozying up in a booth in the middle of winter, this place is a great choice! Excellent prices, great food and a fun atmosphere. One of Grand Haven's best kept secrets, but let's not keep it a secret! Stop by Porto Bello for your own great experience.

We used Porto Bello to cater my daughters wedding. IThe comments to me all night long were about how great the food was especially the Chicken Picatta! Everyone of the staff was very friendly. Since this was a destination wedding for us we visited Porto Bello a number of times and each time the experience was very pleasureable. I would recommend them as a cater to use in Grand Haven.

My family went to Porto Bello this weekend. It was a horrible experience. We ate on the outside deck. The place was filthy and smelled revolting. The food was bad. Our waitress was not very knowledgeable or friendly. The bread, however, was yummy. But the pizza we got was mediocre, and my sister was unable to eat her salad because it was so gross. SKIP THIS DUMP!

We were in town for the 4th of July and decided to try this place out. It has a great atmosphere and good service. However, the food was very disappointing. I had ordered the baked ziti that didnt seemed baked at all. There was about an inch of water in my bowl,very little sauce, and a pile of unmelted cheese on top that looked like it had been microwaved for about 10 seconds. The noodles were cold as well. I would have preferred Olive Garden over the food I was given. Not worth a $20 dollar meal.

The restaurant food is simple but fine. The bar area is lacking in friendliness since losing several of its bartenders that had personality. The service is good in the restaurant and slow in the bar area. The band on weekends is a good jazz band with a wonderful female singer. We will return but it won't be our first choice any more.

Wow!!! That is how I must start this off. I am not one to write reviews but after dining there my wife and kids like to drive out to the lakeshore. I must say the food, the service and the atmosphere was incredible. I had the chicken pepper did as an app, the kids of course love the fried ravioli. Before dinner the bread and salad was fresh and tasty. I had the zesty sausage alfredo A MUST with fresh basil leaves. My wife absolutely loves the vodka sauce there. Great time great music Porto Bello has it going on!!

What a fantastic place!! I absolutley loved the menu, the pasta dishes are incredible and the chicken and seafood is fantastic. I found it catered to my kids, the prices were great and they make you feel like family.
