Cafe Gulistan, Harbert

The best restaurant in Harbor Country, hands down. Per the earlier review, it's recently been remodeled and looks snazzy. The service is always great -- the waitstaff is attentive and friendly -- and the dishes are comparable to what you'd get at the very best Middle Eastern restaurants in Chicago (in fact, I think Gulistan is even better than the places we went when living in the city). The only downside is that for us, it's a bit too costly for regular dining -- though it is possible to share a dish if you supplement with an appetizer, etc. Try the Ispanak -- you won't regret it. Can be very busy on summer weekends, but it is the ONLY place around that's truly worth the wait (and the money).
