London Grill, Kalamazoo

I have not so enjoyed a pub since i left iceland in 2002. From the atmosphere , to the smiling faces to the great choice of Beers from around the world to the excellent menu and amazing prices. A newcomer can visit and feel like family. You will be greeted by an an owner who is proud of his business and has created a comfortable environment almost cheers like. as a matter of fact, they have more their share of Norms. We have not even gotten to the food yet, the seafood dishes are delectible and the deserts to die for. they also offer Kalamazoo's largest selection of British beer on tap and live traditional Irish music on the weekends.

Friendly staff, from the greeters to the bartenders to the chefs in the open kitchen, characterizes my favorite downtown restaurant in Kalamazoo. The filet mignon is always good, and in the low $20s, it's the best deal on a top-notch filet you're likely to find. Try all the apetizers too. I love the Scotch Egg and they always make a good satay. Highly recommended.

Although I now live in DC, where great restaurants are many, I still crave Arie's steak with blue cheese and a side of bubble and squeak. Mmmm..
