Ryan's Roadhouse, St Johns

Great food and service. Sandwiches, meals, pizza and wonderful soup/salad bar. Three different dining areas, you can sit far from the bar, or at the bar. In the summer they have outside service.

Had one of the best meals EVER last night--but my hubby had a bad experience. We have eaten at Ryan's before and just had mediocre meals so I didn't have high expectations. I had the Chicken Portabella (meal, not sandwich) with rice and beans. I made a comment to the server that it was superb and she informed me that it wouldn't be on the menu much longer--huh?? Why not? I can't explain how good this was! I also had the chili on the soup/salad bar--and the chili was also really, really good. My hubby, however, is a wet burrito freak and he really disliked Ryan's burrito, unfortunately. He said the sauce tasted like BBQ sauce and he just couldn't get past that. I hope Ryan's reconsiders and keeps the Chicken Portabella on the menu. Wow!! It was sooooo good! I'm giving it 5 stars for my meal.

They ruined my evening, I have a service dog, this was the first time I had ever set foot in the place to meet friends I had not seen in a long time. I was asked if my dog was a seeing eye dog, I said no she is a certified assistance dog. The manager said I could only sit outside, I said no I want to set in the air conditioning. After hassling me in front of others he place me at a booth I could not get in easily nor my husband could fit in. The waitress said she could sit us at a table, but the manager was very angry. I guess in St. John's Michigan it so far out in the country they have never heard of the ADA.

Best restaurant and bar in town! It's a great place to stop on your way up north if headed on 127 or to take the whole family any night of the week. The food is great and the atmosphere is very friendly, warm, and clean with a log cabin appearance. Burger's as good as Red Robin and chicken tacos that can't compare.

The staff is friendly, the bar looks good after the remodeling. The outdoor patio is definitely a plus when the weather is nice. Not a bad place to meet friends for quick beer and some KENO!

Confused my review of T-bones and the Roadhouse. DO NOT GO TO T-BONES AND EXPECT OUTDOOR SEATING. =) (my bad) Good food. Nice ambience. Newly remodeled. Indoor/outdoor seating.
