King Fish Restaurant and Tiki
The Kingfish Restaurant location is in the heart of beautiful downtown Bay City directly across from the Bay City Antique Center which is considered by AAA Travel Guide as the "Best" in the state of Michigan. Adjacent from the Kingfish is St. Laurent Brothers Candy Shoppe, one of the largest in the state that's been in business over 100 years. The rest of our neighborhood is made up of many delightful stores and shops, perfect for before or after dining shopping. The Kingfish also features "Dockside" - Our outdoor restaurant which is situated on four levels of deck - all of which overlook the historic Saginaw River. The Dockside facility is one of the largest outdoor restaurants in the state with seating for over 200+ and boat docking for at least a dozen boats. We feature live music outdoors (weather permitting) Thursday-Sunday each week. The dockside experience is fun - like a picnic - and features a "Beautiful Sunset" each evening.
This is a great place when the weather is right to watch the sunset on the river and listen to great music!! They also have some awesome deals on wine to go. I go about once a month to have some drinks and dinner/lunch. After or before food and drinks I do my wine shopping. The owner is very helpful when he is around with suggestions about which wines I might like. His suggestions have all been winners with me so far. Do check it out!!!
This is a neat place to go in warm weather .
The outdoor deck is a lot of fun when the boating crowd is out on the river.
Food is not anything to get excited about. The experience is what counts.
The musical entertainmenton the deck is a lot of fun.
I have dined here several times and the excellent quality was consistant. Whether for a casual relaxed meal, or a fancier special oocasion The King Fish can meet your need. The view of the river any time of the year is a pleasant portion of its atmosphere.
Neat place, overlooks the Saginaw River.
My wife and I both worked Restaurants in college and we were both impressed by the cleanliness and character of the building.
The waitress we had was extremely personable and attentive, qualities far too rare in some of our experiences lately.
We're looking forward to a meal there when the weather gets nicer so we can sit out on the patio and watch the boat traffic.
They also have berths for boats to dock right there.
We didn't have a chance to sample the bar, so we can't comment on it.
