We recently moved to the Fenton area and we wanted to try Johns pizza on Leroy street, we did try a carry out the first day in are moving process, we where sticker shocked at the price ,but we felt we ordered wrong. On Aug 14th 2012 we decided that we would go inside and order the 50% off price pizza, we parked out front, noticed handmade signs directing us to the lounge. Two other couples having dinner, we stood there about at least 4 minutes before being seated. The waitress had to do our set up, we mention the table was sticky, she cleaned the surface, and it was still sticky, we received our drinks I returned my drink because the glass had a crust on it, we ordered a large Pizza, We started to notice little fruit flies, we laughed but it was not funny. It took about 20 minutes for the pizza to arrive. It looked like a thin crust pizza? But not really made like a thin crust, the cheese was very chewy and the sauce had a funny flavor, not like other pizzerias. Personally this place needs a Gordon Ramsey make over the place is old and needs update and cleaning and debugged. The food or pizza over priced, and needs a new cook or owner, Food, service needs a lot of attention, I will not support or recommend this restaurant.
I have thrown a 50th wedding anniversary party there, a college graduation dinner, and a bridal shower there. The staff is always super helpful. They went out of their way to help me arrange tables the way I wanted and even helped with the decorations I brought. The food is good and the nice private room with a private entrance is perfect for parties. Very reasonable prices as well. Best place in Fenton for the value and service having parties.
We have been going there for years. Back in the 70's my sisters ended up there after almost every football game for get togethers with friends. The food is good, service has always been good for me. The transplants that are taking over this town are just a bunch of complainers.
