I went to the Village Grill this past Saturday with my daughter. Upon entering we were the first people standing at the counter, Shortly after a lady enter, because I walk slow and I'm disable, the lady walk passed my daughter and stood firstly in line. I was looking at what had happen as my daughter told the lady I was here first while the waitress came to seat her, I was standing behind the lady when her husband walked up. As we were being taken to our seat, I explained to the waitress what happen as my daughter and I was about to sit down, the restrurant manager - a redheaded lady walked up behind me - tapped me on the shoulder to inform me that a list had been created, and that there are other people wainting in line. We followed her back from and found a long line and the lady whom walk in front of my daughter was smiling a snide smile at us.. Their was a long line and we had to sign in, of course the manager signed us in at the BOTTOM OF THE LIST - I WAS OUTRAGED, beforehand I tried to explain to her what had happened, but she didn't want to hear it. I told my daughter we are not welcomed here, and I informed the manager we are leaving. This is a resturant I had frequent many time prior to new management and their remodelization, because of my personal medical condition I don't go out much anymore, I am a senior citizen and this use to be one of my favorite restrurants, not anymore. This is the second incident I experienced.
The First Incident.
The last time I went to the Village Grill, I was alone, in the summer of 2006, the waitress brought me coffee, no spoon. When I asked for a spoon she returned when my coffee was cold, I asked for another cup. When she bought me food the Fries were cold, I asked for a reodered - she became upset, I also asked for some napkins, when she returned she threw them on the table. When my fries came I inspected them closely for spit, I prayed over my food ate an left, She did not earn her tip, I didn't leave one - while walking down the hallway to the door, she yelled here is the penny you left and threw it at me. When I made it to my car, I called the manager, whom was also the bartender I explained to him what happened. I told him I had never had this problem before and told him who I was and that I was at one time a regular customer, and that I don't believe that this establishment approve of this behavior. He promised me he will talk to the waitress. Now, because of New Managers, I feel their is an aire of bias towards a certain group of customers. I will not return to theVillage Grill untill they notify their entire staff that all customers are welcomed there even though they don't look like them. I will a know because I enjoy being in the village and shop very often there. I will pray for change in the hearts, of the Guilty staff only, at the Village Grill. God Bless. The food is good but some employees are not, because of this I rate the Village Grill as AWFUL, for now
I came from the airport after picking up my father and son and wanted to share a nice meal. Our waitress was rude, non-existent and made us feel that we were intruding on her time. I asked her if she was busy (since she was so irritable), she said she was handling both rooms and we came at a shift change. OK, but we were there to have a meal, have something to drink and if it was so inconvenient for her, she should not be working in her trade. We will never go back and with so many choices in the Pointe area, I suggest the staff treat customers with courtesy or they will not have a job to go to, since the restaurant will not be operating.
