I live South of Toledo and go to Greektown every month..I would NOT recommend going there when there is a sporting event in Detroit i.e, Red Wings, Tigers, or Lions..unless you go BEFORE the game is to start...The Pegasus fills up very fast.. I have had nothign but great service when I go there..it can be hectic at times and whatever you do if you stand up and see a waiter come running by you get out of the way hahah...the are in a hurry and do a fine job..
It is worth the 80 minute drive for a GREAT meal..OMPAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I love this place & their greek salad is to die for. I make special trips for just the salad. Imagine feta cheese that melts in your mouth. Not dry like everywhere else. I love it. Anything else I order is always really good
My wife and I heard so many good things about Pegasus Taverna that we had to check it out. However, we were amazed by the TERRIBLE service and mediocre food. More unfortunate was that the greek couple at the table adjacent to ours seemed to get preferential treatment.
Bottom line, if you're not greek, don't expect good service at this restaurant. My wife and I won't ever be going back to this place.
My wife and I went there on a Saturday at 4:00PM and we were very disappointed. The lamb shish kabob only came with one skewer of meat. For $18.00 it most definately should have had two skewers of meat!! They PILED on the NASTY tasting green beans!!My wifes roast beef dinner was served COLD!! We will NEVER go to this RIP OFF place again!!
The food was alright, but for the price you pay was not so good. The thing that got me so upset was the service in this place from management, I could not believe some of the things I was hearing out of there mouth when talking to there customers. I don’t think I would ever come back to this place. I was not impressed at all. With so many other places to go to in Detroit, this place does not make my list.
Went here last night before a Tiger game. Three of us had the lamb simmered in tomato sauce and herbs. It was delicious. The portions here are huge and the meat was literally falling off the bone. The staff were all courteous and helpful. Would not hesitate to go here again. We were all so full we didn't eat anything at the ballpark.
I LIKE THE AUTMOSPHERE THERE. NEVER TRIED GREEK FOOD BEFORE, IT WAS FANTASTIC! MY HUSBAND HAD THE LAMB GYROS AND HE LOVED IT! HE IS TRING TO MAKE THE TYPE OF PITA BREAD AND HE CANNOT GET IT RIGHT, HE WASTED 2 WHOLE DAYS TRYING TO MAKE THIS BREAD, CAN YOU HELP? I FEEL BAD FOR THE GUY.
