One of the most recognizable restaurants in Greektown , Pegasus is great place to devour Greek cuisine. Offering Greek staples like eggplant, spinach with feta cheese and flaming cheeses. A must-try here are from their 'Gods to the Grill' selection comprising of Arnisia Paidakia, Lamb Shish Kebab and Spesialite Pegasou, offering Grecian styled steaks. Pegasus also provides a range of dishes to cater to the vegetarian palate.
When we first got there we were informed we were going to loose our seats due to the fact that one member of our party was still parking the car. So after being forced to order for everybody our food showed up slighly under cooked. The grape leaf appitizers were salty and sour. To finish off the night the waitress refused to seperate the bill into two checks.
I've never had a meal there that I didn't thoroughly enjoy! I've been there for in intimate dinner as well as with a group of 16 adults. I've been there with my children and grandchildren. It seemed just right for all of those occasions.
The tzdiki is the greatest! OPA!
We went to this restaurant around 2:00pm on Sunday. The restaurant was not busy. My wife ordered the lamb - medium well. It arrived rare. We sent it back - it arrived rare again. She gave up an ordered a salad. When we received our bill nothing had been removed in compensation for our poor service. I asked to speak to the manager about it. She was very rude and said that Pegasus did not offer ANYTHING in compensation when a customer received poor service. I would NOT recommend this restaurant!
My wife and I heard so many good things about Pegasus Taverna that we had to check it out. However, we were amazed by the TERRIBLE service and mediocre food. More unfortunate was that the greek couple at the table adjacent to ours seemed to get preferential treatment.
Bottom line, if you're not greek, don't expect good service at this restaurant. My wife and I won't ever be going back to this place.
This place was horrible. It smells bad. There flaming cheese stinks up the whole restaurent. You loose your appitite after smelling the flaming cheese/opa a few times. I got a burger and coulnd't even eat half of it because by the time you get your food you smell about 15 opa's and it is horrible. I will never go there again!
The food was alright, but for the price you pay was not so good. The thing that got me so upset was the service in this place from management, I could not believe some of the things I was hearing out of there mouth when talking to there customers. I don’t think I would ever come back to this place. I was not impressed at all. With so many other places to go to in Detroit, this place does not make my list.
I was recently here to have dinner and was not impressed at all with this place.
It looked nice inside and out but the food was not that good and the staff was horrible.
I think they should train there staff better and learn some business skills as well. While speaking to a manager, I felt like was I was talking to a 13 year old. I will never ever come back to this place and I will defiantly never recommend this place to anyone. There are way to many other restaurants in Detroit that I would rather go to.
