Greektown Superholdings Incorporated, Detroit

My wife and I just returned from our first visit to Greektown and these are my observations: - I think you should post the restaurant menus for EACH restaurant on your website. It sucks going from restaurant to restaurant looking at menus when I should be able to do it from my smartphone or even have menus in the room to accompany the room service menu. Because of this, we ended up at End Zone Chicken and Ribs on Monroe Street. It was simple and affordable. - The casino is full of money and guests so why have uniformed UNARMED security officers? I am in the private security field and expected an armed security presence, especially since the Detroit PD is understaffed and overwhelmed. Is this some state regulation? They also could stand to be a little nicer to folks. - We stayed on the 26th floor and from our room I could hear some humming sound from the elevator. Kind of annoying. - The carpet in our room was ripped and EXTREMELY worn. Otherwise, the room was great and the view of the City of Detroit was awesome. - I was amazed there was not a vending machine with the ice machines on each floor (or maybe every other or 3rd or 4th floor). We called the front desk and they said the only vending machine was in the parking garage near Valet. So, I sucked it up and got something out of the mini-bar. - Our free breakfast buffet at Bistro 555 was awesome and our waitress was great! All in all, a great experience! If we didnt have to go through Michigan Ave to get there as a detour because of the construction on M-75, it would have been better. That was a depressing sight to see. We may visit again in the future and see what has changed at Greektown.

I will NEVER NEVER go to this casino again. Are you a Blackjack player.... well, I for one am sick of being RIPPED OFF ON THEIR AUTO SHUFFLE decks that you NEVER SEE the deck..and get this, ask the dealer how many decks your playing with, Dahhhhhh, how can they NOT KNOW!!!! to fishy to me... Just amazing that no one questions HOW MANY DECKS YOUR PLAYING WITH...come onnnn, It does make a difference in how you play your cards...NEVER NEVER AGAIN.... been ther done that now, toooo many times. Shame on me!

BEWARE OF PARKING LOT RIP OFF DO NOT PARK IN THE OLD STRUCTURE THEy DO NOT VALIDATE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO GREEKTOWN. IT JUST COST US 30.00 TO PARK AND GO INTO THE CASINO. THE SIGN SAYS PUBLIC IN SMALL LETTERS BUT IT IS STILL THE SAME SIGN WHEN IT WAS CASINO PARKING YOUR TICKET EVEN SAYS GREEKTOWN CASINO. PEOPLE DO NOT NEED ANYMORE REASONS TO STAY OUT OF DETROIT. YEA GREEKTOWN WAY TO SUPPORT THE CITY. ****** DO NOT BOTHER MOTOR CITY AND MGM ARE NICER AND THE EMPLOYEES ARE NOT RUDE!!!!!!!!!!

this was our first time in detroit and being from the south i went thinking that the staff and all the people were going to be rude.but ill have to say that the people of detroit and the staff of greektown have changed my mine of people from up north we had a great time all the people we met were very friendly and the staff of greektown was nothing but friendly and helpfull i will be back thanks for everything joe&sylvia herndon

Last two time we stayed at the hotel we had to call security. you simply cannot sleep. people partying to about 4:00 am. You can hear everything..the doors to the room block out no noise. rooms are very small. COMPS: greektown had wonderful comps two years ago when we started going. They have changed recently and are ABSOLUTLEY AWFUL. After being faithful returning customers, we are moving on to a new place. We are going to start staying at MGM, even though the rooms are more expensive and start playing there more in hopes to earn some free rooms in the future.

I have eaten at the buffet befoe when it was $9.99. My husband and I literally got sick. It was so bad I can't even describe. Well, the price went up to $17.99 or a couple dollars less with a club greektown card. We paid $15.99 each for what they called a great new menu. I have to tell you...it is worse than it was before. The food was literally revolting (and I am being kind in saying that). Less selection, and it was all greasy, salty or flavorless. I can't even put into words how terrible it is. The roast beef was replaced with ham under a heat lamp. There were only about 5 toppings with iceburg lettuce to make a salad at the salad bar, the soup was congealed, the ribs were all fat (no kidding out of 4 bones I had 1 peice with a small piece of meat on it the rest was sauced up fat), they got rid of any decent selection at the Asian station and replaced it with generic salty junk, the Mexican was cheap tasing, the Italian tasted like a Banquet frozen dinner, the pizza was flavorless reminded me of cardboard with cheese, the desserts were hard and stale (except for the cherry chip cake wich was good) and the ice cream machine didn't work. Every selection I tried ended up in the trash. I can't believe that they aren't ashamed to serve that stuff. I'm embarrassed for them.

I went to the Greektown casino last night, arrived at 11pm 7/30/10 had a ball all the machine were pretty loose. Just want to write something good because I had a great time. Found no fault with the staff. Did not eat the food. My friend felt the same way. Thanks Greektown!!

WHAT A JOKE! The Greektown Casino and Bristo are terrible!!!!!!!! We came to Detroit to attend a hockey game and dinner. Rode the people mover and had to put up with bums all over the place trying to get you to give them anything, even right in front of the door to the Casino, in the hallways of the hotel, and then again in the parking garage peeing on cars!!! We got to Bristo and the seating ladies did not even smile and welcome us to their establisment, just took us to a table! Didn't have a waiter for 12 minutes and even then didn't get anything to drink for 15 minutes. Was ready to leave when our waiter arrived, didn't introduce himself, could not hear him talk, took our order and left. Didn't see him come back until the food was ready. Talk about rotten cuts of meat, half baked potatoes, and the green beans not even cooked. At least the bread rolls came hot and with butter. We were shafted - the dinner made us very sick!!! We got food poisioning and was sick for 3 days!!!!!! We wanted to talk to management but we were just walked by and no one would answer us when we asked questions. The wait staff was rude, didn't want to really work, and only seemed interested in whether or not we left them a nice tip. Two dollars was all we left for the bad service, bad food, and bad attitude of the place. We expected better than this and will never go back. You can bet if our friends ask, we will ensure they take our business somewhere else. As to the bums - Detroit needs to clean up the downtown area before I'll ever go back. Men just exposing themselves, peeing on the floor, selling items that you can get for free on the people mover. Just get real Detroit - you have a mess and I don't see you doing anything to help yourself let alone your own residents!! What a waste!! The view of Canada was great and you knew that city was clean and orderly! I did not feel safe, the area is run down and a mess, more like a garbage dump than a city. I was very disappointed and the Casino and Bristo will never get my businss again!!

I've been to Greektown Casino many times and find it to be clean and safe. Never saw a bum or beggar in or outside the casino. All you people that are bad-mouthing the casino, probably couldn't afford to loose a few bucks and are bitter. Come on, write honest reviews or don't write at all!!!!

I came here for specifically the buffet and the buffet only. I have new ate at a shittier place in my life. The staff was rude and the food was horrible. If you want to eat a mixture of all the worse foods you have ever tasted then go here. If you are looking for a good place to eat in the area try Linda's Place. I bought the buffet and finished my drink within 2 minutes and was not even offered one refill. Then after I had ice cream I went to get more dessert then my whole table was cleaned off and they said we thought u were done. This place treats you like trash!!
