Never again
I was truly disappointed at my one and only visit to Sindbad's. Originally from the Midwest but now living on the West Coast, I tried many excellent seafood restaurant but this place was just plain awful. To start with, the place is located in an area, which is not very desirable (doesn't look safe) even though it is located off the river. We walked in this place and the pungent air of cigerette filled my nose. Essentially, you have to get past the bar to find the host(ess). Having been seated, we were served plain rolls and butter. How original is that? Any olive oil or garlic to go with the bread? Of course not. The menu seemed liked it offered more meat entrees than seafood. How about something that isn't fried? The wait for our food didn't help either since it was graduation weekend. We waited and waited and waited. When the food came, I thought to myself I could have gone to a Red Lobster (which I haven't visited in over 25 years) and have gotten better service, cheaper food (not necessarily better), and a smile from the waitress. Or maybe gone to a Sizzler and gotten steak instead of fish (What's an extra 10 cents?). Truly a bad experience.
