Yuck! I would avoid this place. I tried the Ahi Tuna salad and it was terrible! It seemed like they threw down a piece of tuna that i wouldn't serve a cat. It actually had grizzle in it. I had some nasty stomach issues after eating it.
The waiter was VERY shady too. He added food to our bill and then tried to charge is quickly without letting us look at it.
Stay away from this place!
Excellent food! Excellent environment. Their black bean soup is TO DIE FOR. If I remember correctly the soup was vegan as well. Great location too just across from the majestic theatre complex. Prices are a tad high but not ridiculous and our waitress was a tad clumsy but very very nice, was a bit comical actually.
My friend and I ate hambugers for a late lunch and both of us were sick at the same time a few hours later. The burgers, a few of the tortilla chips, a little of the salsa and a beer is all we had. I eat our alot and in 7 years this is only the second time I've been sickened by a meal.
You can see the history of this place when you first walk in. You wonder who were the greats that must've dined here at one time or another. The music is just right, the long beautiful mahogany wood bar serves very reasonably priced drinks,(it kinda reminds you of Cheers on the telly)the menu has kept up with the times and I can tell you the portions are more than adequate, the prices are very competitive, the wait staff are so friendly! The food is very well seasoned, the bathrooms are always clean. You can sit in the middle of whats going on,or you can be in a very private setting in two areas. You will always be treated well by the good folks there, I've had lunch and dinner there several times. The weekends are great. Its good to see the ladys having ladys' night and the fellas having a boys night out.Or perhaps you'd rather be there with someone special, or have a business meeting there; it's all possible and you can have it all at a great place called Union Street.
