Amigo's Mexican Restaurant, Taylor

Expensive and there cheese has a very weird taste. I went with a group of people and we all thought the cheese tasted like popcorn. There is much better around this area.

I was at the one in Woodhaven. Food is marginal. Salsa is mediocre. Go to Sergio's on Allen and Pennsylvania for good Mexican food downriver.

I love Amigo's, I have eaten there with my parents since I was a kid. Now I am older and taking my kids there. So yummy. I give it five stars! I have never had a bad experience. The waitstaff are always so friendly, and the food is addicting.

I agree that Amigo's serves the best Mexican food downriver. I go there any time I'm in the area - like tomorrow for lunch! The seating is a little stoic. Once the chips and salsa lands all is forgiven.

Good food and usually busy (good sign!), but not too busy - except weekends - but what restaurant on Eureka ISN'T packed on Friday and Saturday night? Service is usually good but the dining area is a little substandard. Not the best Mexican food, but definately worth a trip to see if you might like it.

Best mexican food downriver. Not too greasy, or salty. The weekly lunch specials are great and affordable.

My wife and I have been enjoying Amigo's dining, atmosphere and wait staff for more than 20 years and watched them grow from where they began on Vreeland Rd. in Trenton. The food is tops and I find that Luv'sGoodFood's comments after 1 stop shopping for a carry-out incredibly suspicious (Maybe a competitor). Since I have spent nearly two years in El Paso, TX and enjoyed the food available in Juarez, MX, I am reasonably sure that I know authentic Mexican style foods. While it isn't exactly the same as Juarez's cooking it is authentic(with some variations) and one of the best in Metro Detroit and I have enjoyed most of the restaurants in the Mexican Village area as well as most of them Down River. The help is incredibly friendly in response to friendly customers and very efficient. I suggest that everyone that wants a good meal try a sitdown and not a carry-out. Larry2

The food is terrible . Nothing like mexican. It is more a fancy taco bell. The enchilada sauce is awful.

We love Amigo's, is the best Mexican in downriver. My brother in law use to live in southgate, but he move and now he drive 2-3 hrs to visit the family and he usually takes the whole family to Amigo's Restaurant cuz' he love the place. LOL
