DIED AND GONE TO BEER HEAVEN! haha. First and foremost, for all you beer snobs out there. We were shocked to see the biggest craft beer menu the wife and I have ever seen in a restaurant. Not over priced either. 50+??? i'm guessing. I was like a kid in a candy store. Glad the wife drove. Tried it out for the first time with the family a few days ago. Atmosphere was clean, nothing trendy. I liked the hand carved oak everywhere. We had no idea this place pumped out some great food. The pizza was very very good. How I remembered a pizza being while I was growing up. Not a thick crust. Nothing too salty or greasy. The sauce wasn't too sweet and the cheese was quality. Btw, go in hungry. Breadsticks are addicting and the pasta portion on my cousins rigatoni was huge.
Both the atmosphere and food at this family establishment are exceptional. Almost everyone I know has dined at Mama Mia's and I have never heard a bad review. A friend of mine recently held a party in the banquet room and it was absolutely lovely. The staff was both professional and polite and the food was superb!!
We will be visiting again VERY soon!!
Great food. Great people. Great place. I highly recommend trying this awesome restaurant. I have been many times with my family and have had two events in the banquet hall. Each time was better than the last. Very family oriented.
A simple, straight forward review. The family and I have been dining at Mama Mia for nearly 20 years. Each time I go, the food and service is superb. The interior is clean and inviting. The weekly specials are excellent and the pizza is still the same old fashioned pizza we ate when I was a child. The family greets me at the door each time by name. In today's age it's so easy to get lost in a sea of chain restaurants. I recommend at least once, sway away from the chain cookie cutter restaurant and take a little drive to something that holds meaning and to someone who shows gratitude for our patronage.
I've been there for pizza, bread sticks, chicken alfredo, and several other things. I was also just there for a lunch for after a funeral.. We had lots of people...
It was quick, and the food was
good. The Family was happy.
I grew up in the neighborhood and a family ritual was to head to Mama Mias a couple times a month. Years later I still love their pizza. Every time I head back home from Chicago I have to stop at Mama Mia's or get a pie to go. Chicago pizza is great but I have not found a pizza joint that makes pizza quite like Mama Mia's. Another excellent family pizza restaurant in the area is De Lucas but I have a soft spot (in my stomach) for Mama Mia's.
