Amadeus is a truly European restaurant. Weekends are busy (I would recommend a reservation), but if you can go on Friday or Saturday nights, I would recommend it. The live classical music is beautiful and makes you want to stay the whole evening, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Service can be slow but steady on the weekends - this is definitely not a place you come to rush... Menu features comfort foods and meat stews from Poland/Hungary - be sure you stay for dessert... Great for before or after the show. Amadeus is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Ann Arbor. Go in for a light lunch to test the waters - then go back for dinner with your friends!

Go here if you feel like being completely ignored! Went and waited for a server, then our beverages and then our food. We were there for over an hour and a half and were never served our food. The staff was rude when we inquired how much longer it would be, so we left without eating. It's really too bad because I was very excited about this place and even if they have the best food ever, I'll never know because I will never go back.

When we arrived at Amadeus they had lost our reservation. The hostess was extremely rude, aggressive and impolite. Terrible treatment. She literally said there was nothing she could do and turned her back on us, letting us stand in the middle of the restaurant, forcing us to leave. And this was with a reservation-which I am not certain if it was lost or if someone was seated over our reservaton. She did not apologize or make any attempt to rectify the situation. She actually was very aggressive. I would hesitate to ever go back to a restaurant that treats its clientel as we were treated.

"Europe With A Flair"
By ,
I love this place. friends have thanked me for introducing it to to them. A great place to have an intimate dinner. You get to linger over the food and relish every morsel. Great waitstaff. The piano playing in the background adds to this restaurant's appeal. Visiting here, you get the feeling that you have been transported to Eastern Europe.

European food at its best!
This place won Best Central European restaurant in the Current 2006 and it is really a winner. I have gone there for breakfast and dinner....very very good. Great wine and romantic feeling/vibe.One time I went there and they had live music played on a big ethnic xylophone...The owner is a cutie as well as his son....;)

Quiet, hidden, charming restaurant
By ,
Amadeus is my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. It has a European feeling to it that's very charming. It's small - when I've been, there's usually only been one waitperson - and intimate and the food is great. Sometimes there is live music from the piano.
