Consistently delicious! I love German food and this is one of the best German restaurants in Michigan. Ann Arbor has a lot of unique and tasty eateries but we eat at Metzger s almost every time we re in town. I recommend the Kassler Ripchin, Saur Braten, Schnitzel, authentic German potato salad, spatzel ... pretty much everything!

The food is awful and not authentic at all. I am from germany and this was my one and only visit to Metzgers. German food can be delicious, but you won't experience that here.

Tasteless, dried-out, reheated garbage! And paid $16/plate! Will never go again!! Lived-in Germany for first 14 years of my life and never was served stuff like this! Maybe they were good when they opened years ago, but the food it terrible. A huge waste of time and money. The only way to tolerate this food if by downing several beers beforehand! That's called drinking, not dining.

Our family went to Metzgers and we were dissapointed with the food. The food is not like any authentic German food I have ever had. And believe me I lived in Germany for a while. The food is more like canned, frozen and basically tasteless. For the prices they are charging they could at least hire a cook who knows how to cook. Our first and last visit.
