Samira's Restaurant, Bloomington

We have been going there for a few years now and we are always eager to return. The selections on the dinner menu are many and there is something to surely please meat lovers as well as vegetarians. The food is always fresh, aromatic and tastes wonderful. Salad or soup with dinner, both are very good so it is difficult to decide. Served with fresh bread (na'n). The servers are always neat and courteous. White tablecloths add to the tasteful decor.

Absolutely exquisite food and service was excellent. Diner there last night with a friend of the owner. Our dishes were specially picked for us and from beginning to end all were delish. Our server was very attentive. Desserts were not my favorite altho the quality of the baklava was great as was the milk pudding. I'm a chocolate addict so you know what that means! I've been told by my husband the lunch buffet is also very very good and I intend to find out myself this coming week. I can't wait to go back and I can tell you I haven't been this excited about a restaurant in a long time. Try-you won't be disappointed.

A trip back to Bloomington is just not complete without dinner at Samira's. I have yet to have something at Samira's that I haven't absolutely loved! Hard to believe my "little hometown" now has world-class restaurants. Samira is a *treasure*!

I went there for lunch based on the reviews I read and tried the buffet so I could try a variety of dishes. Words that come to mind from my experience are "okay", "average", and "so-so". There was nothing bad about the place - but the food was not worth driving out of your way to get there. The mixed vegetables with okra was the best dish available - all the other dishes seemed to be under seasoned. The service lagged a couple times - but all in all it was "okay".

I've tried this restaurant for the first time a few days ago. Love it! Excellent service and atmosphere, and the food was wonderful. There is a good variety on the menu, and both a meat-eater or a vegetarian should be happy with the choices. I recommend the house wine, and they gave us a bigger pour then we expected. Can't wait to go back and try something else!

These guys have an awesome lunch buffet. The food is fresh, hot and very delicious!! You can't beat this deal for lunch downtown.
