Killer pizza! Still my favorite after years and years.
Okay, so I know it's been around much longer than this; but back in the mid-80's my Mom used to take my little sister and I downtown to walk around during summer vacation. One of the many highlights was always Cafe Pizzaria. In fact, years later... we had them cater our Rehearsal dinner for our wedding.
The food: Best stroms in the world... nope, not exaggerating. Their house salad dressing is positively addictive, and the salads always come with the best mozzarella cheese. Pie: brick oven crust... need I say more? Okay okay, I will. Perfect blend of toppings, sauce and cheese, all toasted to a crispy perfection with everything in perfect balance.
The "place": Ooooooold building downtown Bloomington, cozy atmosphere with ample seating, always very clean, staff is friendly. Children are always welcome and the patrons vary from suit-wearing business CEO's (ok, so there probably aren't that many in Bloomington) to t-shirt and shorts clad college students. Cool pictures line the walls and retro booths offer esthetically pleasing seating. On the downside, there's practically no parking; so you may as well park a few blocks away in the parking garage and walk. Trust me, with as much as you'll eat at this place, you will need the exercise afterward!
