Cafe Pizzaria, Bloomington

This is by far the best pizza in Bloomington/Indiana. It's like the pizza that I used to get some 25 yrs ago from the Italian guy in the little pizza place where I grew up. It's a little bit more than other pizza in Bloomington, but so worth it!!! You will never want to eat any other pizza after you have had this pizza!

I love this place! We try to go there each time we are in Bloomington visiting family. It is worth the wait if there is a line. The best pizza in Bloomington, hands down.

We found this place by accident 4 years ago. We spend Thanksgiving in Nashville, and every year and this place takes priority over any place else we go. The best pizza anywhere. We are going to be within 50 miles of Bloomington soon and plan to stop and try the stromboli (but I know we will have to have a small pizza, too) Thank heavens we don't live near here. And yes, the salad dressing is fabulous! .

Cafe Pizzaria was one of my favorite quiet hangouts to go during college. They had some of the best mushroom pizza you could get. They actually used real mushrooms instead of canned. They also had delicious salad with tons of fresh mozzarella shredded on top. They had a nice crust.

Killer pizza! Still my favorite after years and years. Okay, so I know it's been around much longer than this; but back in the mid-80's my Mom used to take my little sister and I downtown to walk around during summer vacation. One of the many highlights was always Cafe Pizzaria. In fact, years later... we had them cater our Rehearsal dinner for our wedding. The food: Best stroms in the world... nope, not exaggerating. Their house salad dressing is positively addictive, and the salads always come with the best mozzarella cheese. Pie: brick oven crust... need I say more? Okay okay, I will. Perfect blend of toppings, sauce and cheese, all toasted to a crispy perfection with everything in perfect balance. The "place": Ooooooold building downtown Bloomington, cozy atmosphere with ample seating, always very clean, staff is friendly. Children are always welcome and the patrons vary from suit-wearing business CEO's (ok, so there probably aren't that many in Bloomington) to t-shirt and shorts clad college students. Cool pictures line the walls and retro booths offer esthetically pleasing seating. On the downside, there's practically no parking; so you may as well park a few blocks away in the parking garage and walk. Trust me, with as much as you'll eat at this place, you will need the exercise afterward!
