great food, great service...price was good also...we had a complete lunch (2 pc chicken dinner) white or dark w/veggies & biscuits & apple butter...for 10.95 or 12.95. Enjoyed it very much on a lovely fall day.
My wife an I ate here, well tried to eat......it was so nasty.
Cole slaw like mush...yuk. Sasafrass tea tastes like Ben Gay.
Turkey sandwich was thrown together and horrible.
We complained and they acted as if it was no big deal and offered no
refund or replacement. They did apoligize. Don t wast your time!
An Incredible Rip Off!!
The folks who own this place are just waiting for you to fall into their tourist dungeon of charging exorbitant prices for pre-frozen and canned food.
Everything on the menu looks, taste, and smells like a cheap frozen Banquet TV dinner. It was so bad and overly priced……..I wanted to call the local Sherriff and have them arrested for fraud and stealing. All they have going for them is a central location in a heavily traveled summer resort town ………….like a spider weaving a web between two massive lights in an isolated woods infested with insects, and you are the unfortunate BUG.
The food was ok but when I found out what my aunt paid, I nearly had a coronary. It was about $60 for 4 people and the only reason it was that cheap was they gave a discount because the waiter got confused and didn't know it was his table. I think we had like a 2 hour wait once we got to our table. It is also not very wheelchair friendly. I'm a paraplegic and they had an elevator but the dining area was very small. People actually got upset because they had to scoot over to make way for me.
I worked at the Nashville House for 3 months..3 months to long!! I would NOT recomend this place to ANYONE! Seeing that I worked in the kitchen I know what goes on behind the closed doors. Your food has probably hit the floor atleast once before being served to you. Alot of the food comes from cans. The mashed potatoes are instant. Alot of the veggies are from the day before. They also stick there pots on the floor in the walk in freezer. They reheat alot of things. If its not warm when they make your plate they stick it in the microwave to warm it up. The chicken tends to sit in the fridge for a few days. This is just a warning to everyone who eats here!!
Finally visited Nashville Indiana. Nothing much to speak of.
Another tourist trap. Ended up eating at the Nashville House.
We placed our order, then a couple came and sat down next to us.
About 10 mins later, the couple next to us was eating, we were
sitting looking at each other. The waitress came back and assured us our order was coming up next. Then we noticed some other folks who came in after us was eating. Was just about to get up and walk out when the waitress came out carrying our food. We should have just continued to walk out. Food was nothing to write home about. My daughters ham and cheese was lathered with mayo, bread
was soaked. We dropped almost $50 for a lunch. If you're needing a quick bite before heading to the park, save your money, drive back to Columbus and get some decent. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. We should have just walked out.
