Been living in Muncie for 30 years now and for every one of those years I've been regularly attending Puerta. THe food is inexpensive and delicious. The chips and salsa are great and the service is speedy. As far as errors the biggest one is making a mistake made is switching a normal beef item to chicken.
If you do attend try the - IS Special, Chicken Taco Salad, Burrito California or any one of the Fajitas.
When it comes to drinks the house margarita is good but spend the extra couple bucks for a top shelf/gold margarita and you'll be happy you did.
If you ever find yourself in Muncie stop by any one of the three Puerta Vallarta restraunts for a meal you won't soon forget.
Puerto Vallarta is one of the best Mexican restaurants to eat at. The service was great. Food was inexpensive with a lot of food. The only down side to this place is trying to find a place to park. So many people eat there and even with a large parking lot it is hard to find a place to park. I highly recommend this place to eat if you want good authentic Mexican food.
PV's is all the rage in Muncie, but I'm not sure why. The service is mediocre, at best, and the food is average. It's a good and fast value at lunch, and the chips are good, but rating it above average for a Mexican restaurant would be an overstatement.
The food was cold when it got to our table,,, the food was definatly not authentic like they advertise!!! We won't be going back there! My son says we're better off just making it at home like we normally do but anyone who does it themselves knows it takes time. It would have been nice to be able to go out to eat the spanish food once in a while.... I guess my Nona was right when she said there will never be a restaurant that will be 100% authentic! Amen to that!! Detroit has better restaurants then Muncie or surrounding areas!!
This restaurant is great! Whichever location you choose to visit, the servers are courteous. Plus, this restaurant is extremely kid friendly. So, if you are looking for great prices and good food, Puerto Vallarta is the place to go!
My family loves this place! It is inexpensive to eat here, and yet the food tastes absolutely fabulous! The cheese dip is wonderful, and if you have never had it, i totally recommend the fajita enchilada. It takes up half your plate, and is totally full of meat, onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Add to it all your side fixins, and you have a meal and a half right there alone! Definitely a must-do on your list of places to hit this holiday season!
