I, too, think this restaurant is ove rated. Please don't EVER order the crab cakes...they are disgusting. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, but the food is not tops. Maybe I was there on bad dasy, but I have been there 3 times, and I don't think I will go back. Still, I hope they succeed.

Well eating there for the first time was not bad at all, seating was fast even though the parking lot was full. Our server was right on the table and getting drinks and apps. There was a heafty specials list which is nice to see. I had the New York center cut Med. and it came to the table perfict. The portion size was about 12-14 oz which I think is nicely priced at around $24 which included soup or potato, and salad bar. The novelty about this place is the menu is on a real meat cleaver, which of course is not sharp. The best time of the year to go would be fall or winter, they have gas fire places in almost every room which gives a nice atmoshere to the place. An on a lighter note my pregnate wife was drinking water like a fish, her glass never got below 1/4 empty and they where back to the table to fill it up.

Over the years I`ve had the pleasure to eat at Cork n Cleaver multiple times per year. Yes the food is GREAT. On a few rare occasions the food was just (good) and service was (so so). However, If taking into consideration over the last 20 or so plus years I`ve gone there. This place has exceeded my expectations for consistency and service. In my opinion as is others here have said. This is the best place overall for quality of food, quality of service and quality of value. By the way. I`ll be here this weekend eating in the bar. See you there!

i have to let you know what a disappointing evening i had at your restaurant. my sister, who used to live in ft. wayne, came to visit from las vegas. she had two places she wanted to dine at while she was here. coney island and corkncleaver. coney island did not disappoint but unfortunately corkncleaver did. it was a thursday night and we had reservations for 7:30. we were seated on time and given a table for two in your normally quiet back room. two gentemen were seated at a table for 6 about 2 feet from us. we ordered cocktails. nice friendly helpful waitress. we ordered and when the food arrived it was not good. my baked potato was so over done it was powdery. i used butter and more butter and left 2/3 of it. i ordered my steak rare and my sister med. our steaks were reversed but i didn't realize it until i had eaten about 2/3 of it because as it sat out on my plate it got dryer. i looked at my sisters plate and she had lots of juice. it also had no flavor. we salted and salted which usually you don't have to do to a steak seasoned right. i complained about the mixup in our order and was compensated with my cocktail free. that was all she could do she said. said she wished she could do more. in the meantime, the table of gentlemen on an expense account filled up and became very noisy. they were ordering kobi beef and name brand scotch. they even said as they went to the salad bar that it would be quiet for us for a few minutes. there were orher quiet booths but we assumed they were being reserved for other guests but never were. why would you sit two single people next to a table that was going to fill up like that? this was not my first time at your establishment and it would be my last if i didn't know that this was not the usual expereince at corkncleaver. just wanted to let you know my frustration.

Best restaurant in town! I've been in sales for years and entertain regularly. You cant find a better place for lunch or dinner. There are other good choices in the area, but none are better than The Cork. Soooo Good!!

This is by far the best restaurant in Fort Wayne with the best salad bar. I often just go at lunch and get the salad bar (cheaper than some chain restaurants and of course the quality is better). Also, very reasonable pricing on their house wine. I have never had a bad experience or a bad meal. You must try the mudpie too!!

I love the Cork. The food is great and so was the service. Trisha you are a kick ass waitress. We'll be there for Valentine's Day.

My gosh please don't waste your money or your time! For what you get the food is overpriced, the drinks are watered down, the service is not bad but sterile. If you are just out to burn money by all means, eat at the Cork 'n Cleaver, otherwise find another restaurant.

I love this place granted I only go once or twice a year! The prices are quite high but if your looking for a nice place to take a date this is perfect. The lighting is very soft and it's very quiet and secluded. :) I think the salad bar is the best in town.

I don't see what the fuss is about at the Cork'n Cleaver. Perhaps it used to be good? The dinner menu is limited, static, and flavor-lacking. The dinner menu needs a make-over. Positives: The service is good and the atmosphere is fairly nice. My best experience there was for lunch, because the lunch menu is kept trendy and the flavors are current and bountiful.
