they keep getting rid of stuff everytime I find something I like!!! duh. they need to keep the produce Fresh, and the store is not clean ever. Lose my apettite when I go in there. only good thing is the people, always friendly & helpful,
Well, we live in a rural area where going anywhere is a real ordeal. When I don't feel like loading all the kids up and heading to Wal-mart, I opt for Owen's in Ligonier. I will easily find a parking space up close. The baggers USED to take your groceries out for you, but they no longer do this... which is ok. That's almost too awesome.
The prices are pretty reasonable... usually have discounted meat! Love that! My freezer is usually stocked with Owen's markdowns! Hee, hee.
I don't buy anything there other than FOOD, as non-grocery items are pretty high priced.
The staff is usually pretty friendly. I don't really expect much from them. Sometimes they give my kids stickers. Thanks.
Bottom line: Owen's beats the heck out of the prices at one of the Topeka grocery stores -- and has way better selection than the other local store. And better hours than both!
