My husband and I dine here regularly. Excellent food! Beware, this place isn't "dummied down" for the American taste, meaning if you like bland food, then go somewhere else, because this place is SPICY! And YUMMY!

this place is awesome. make sure if you order medium, that you're ready to sweat because med. is hot. I can't imagine what the hot is like. I can't order anything other than what i normally get because it's so good: the crispy egg noodles lard nar with beef. Man it's good!

I absolutely love this place! It's my favorite restaurant in south bend. My husband and I eat there almost every other week. We're both Asian, my husband has visited Thailand and we have friends who live in Thailand and this is hands down the closest it comes to eating authentic Thai/Cambodian food. Ask for spicy and the food will be genuinely SPICY not the watered down version that other fake thai restaurants serve their timid clients. When they say spicy, they mean HOT. And the service is always good. The owners are very nice people. Even though the space is tiny and you might have to wait over the weekends to find seating, the food is every bit worth the wait. And no matter what you order, you just cant go wrong. I have yet to order something on the menu I didnt like.

The premier place for Thai food! The food is fresh, consistently prepared and generous in presentation. I recommend it without reservation. Calling ahead for take-out is the way to go because the dining area is small and always crowded for lunch. I've yet to taste any better Won-Ton soup locally, Chicago or NY.

This restaurant has high quality, low prices for traditional Thai (seems more Cambodian in style to me) food. I have been happy with every dish I have had here. Not upscale at all and the dining room is VERY small so take out might be the way to go on a busy night. Great food!

Quality Food, Great Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/10/07
The humble little hole in the wall was a pleasant discovery that i would typically expect from the big city. Centrally located right in downtown south bend - its ironic to think that their location may be as much a hindrance as it is a help - though as they get discovered - I'm sure the centrality will be an advantage. I've had enough Asian food to know that a lot of low-grade stuff can still pass muster with an undiscriminating audience in places like South Bend. But this place delivers - distinquishing itself with a distinctive menu and quality ingredients well-prepared. The selection is broad enough to satisfy most tastes without being daunting like so many "look alike" Chinese fast food factories that pass themselves off as Asian fusion cuz that have a some pad thai or a smattering of korean or japanese food. Not these guys! They have authentic Laotian/Cambodian/Thai cuisine thats is good quality and very reasonably priced. They probably achieve this by keeping the overhead down on their space. Though humble, its clean and attractive. There are several places to sit and enough attention given to the decor that you feel welcomed. Though take-out is clearly their primary line of business - their dining space is far from the kind of bland spaces found in most carry-out places - you know the places that provide the cold, dull minimally dining-in arrangments - giving all the indication that they'd rather not have you around. These folks - on the other hand - seem to want you to know that your welcome - even though they may be focused on a steady stream of phone-in carry out orders. You can sit down and they are attentive enough to the ambience that you won't desire to flee - but take out is the way to go here. When they have grown enough - I am sure they can succeed in setting up a nice sit down place - but right now it seem they focus on quality food at great prices - you create the ambience at home or with friends.Every town needs a place like this - and finally they are here in South Bend! I understand the proprietors used to live in Chicago but have a large family in the South Bend area and finally decided to relocate here. They know what they're doing and our selection of asian cuisine is vastly improved for their effort.

This is a great place for Thai food. The portions are huge and fairly priced. Siam is another Thai resturant which also has good Thai food however is expensive. Cambodian Thai offers an extensive menu and the food is excellent every time you order. Put this resturant on your list. Seating is limited but great for on the go!

Cambodian/Thai food

Not really Chinese, but excellent if you want some real flavor to your curries and other dishes! Medium heat is sometimes too hot -- try the stage in between mild and medium just to be safe the first time. VERY small seating area; great for take-out or off rush hour meals.
