The place is great, we visit South Bend for Notre Dame frequents and we love this little spot. It is pretty small, so you may have to wait, but the food is really top notch. The owner is so humble and nice, always there walking around, making sure you are having a good time. If you like Thai, this is the place I would recommend.
This restaurant in downtown South Bend is one of a few options in the Thai/Lao/Cambodian cuisine offerings in town. The restaurant has high quality but is plagued by small portions, high prices, and so-so service. I had the red curry, pad thai, a chicken prick dish, and a mix of appetizers and all were quite good but expensive. This is expensive for basic Thai (although by South Bend standards this might be upscale) especially now there are other options in town at cheaper prices.
Thai cusine. The fact that it is BYOB makes it an even greater bargain, and the location is nice. You can go to the Choclate Cafe (or right next door) for some sweets or down the street to Madison Oyster Bar or Fiddler's Fart for a pint or cocktail. Places like these make downtown South Bend worth visiting! Support your locally owned restaraunts, please.

This restaurant is SO good! Very small, cozy atmosphere (don't sit close to the door in the winter - you'll freeze as people come in or out!) but the food is WONDERFUL! I used to work downtown South Bend, and this was a great place to meet friends for lunch!
I have eaten at the Siam Thai Restaurant on two occasions. Both were very enjoyable. And after your meal, step next door to have one of their cheesecakes. The food is simply wonderful. The service is great. The owners are very kind and helpful with any questions. If you live near by or you are going to be in town give yourself a real treat and have a super lunch. Yeah, it's that good.
