Rocco's Restaurant, South Bend

This place has the best pizza in the world, and having been half way around the world I believe I can say that. To the guy who thinks it's no better than papa john's you need to get your taste-buds checked or something.

Two topping large pizza for $20 is a rip off considering its no better quality than papa john's. Its really sad that so many people rated this place so high. Just goes to show little town people with their limited selection accept anything with bread and sauce as great pizza.

WONDERFUL pizza! I have been to Italy several times, the Firenze (Florence) area, and I love the thin crust pizza there. My co-workers there had taken me for 'Napoli' style pizza once. This is Rocco's to a T, southern Italian style pizza, a bit fluffier crust, sweet sauce, and slightly spicy sausage. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting authentic Italian food.

I have been enjoying my favorite pizza since they had the fish tank by the kitchen door. Anybody else remember that? Far and away the best pie I have ever had.

I used to work there and I can tell you not only is the food and service wonderful, but the kitchen and staff is tremendously clean. The owners take great pride in using fresh ingredients and making sure the guests and staff are treated like family. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're a ND fan

I have been going to Rocco's since my first visit with my husband 38 years ago and I can tell you "it is the best." As a Notre Dame student, graduated in 1970, my husband and his friends spent many "away games" at Rocco's watching the game. Rocco's is like a Friday night tradition for us during home games and I can not think of a person who has visited ND with us that did not agree that this was one of the best pizza places ever. Keep on supporting this wonderful place to eat, enjoy beverages of your choice and dine with friends and fans of Notre Dame. GO IRISH!

Pizza for brut desire!!!: If you want to calm a brut need for real pizza with home made sauce, thin crust, and mediterranean herbs in company of a cold beer like on the italian coast there is not other place in South Bend. We are talking of the best pizza on town brought from the real land about 50 years ago. Original recipe! Great taste!Funny people and huge Notre Dame tradition... Don't order anythin else, just pizza --- the best! Pancho.

I went to Rocco's. I had the Baked Lasagna. It was good. If you are in south bend you should stop in if you are big on italian food.

One of the best (if not the best) pizzas I have ever had. I got a 32 oz. Bud Light and they serve it with a bottle and a small 8 oz juice glass. Classic! The serving staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rocco's is the kind of place where you feel like part of a family or community because you have shared their unique dining experience. It's perfect for either hanging with the dudes or enjoying a slice with your special lady.

I have been eating here for over 30 years, and it has been consistently excellent!! All home-made, fresh ingedients, all hand made and made to order. Nothing frozen or canned, or plastic. I used to take my children here, and now they bring their friends here!! They never come home from Chicago without a visit to Rocco's and a declaration that it's better than any pizza in the Big City!! From pasta to sandwiches, to pizza, always the best. And, their choice of regular OR thick crust pizza gives everyone his favorite. On an occasional Friday night, Rocco himself will be there, overseeing his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Warren; who are always on guard to make sure you have a superior dining experience. The waitresses are great, and even the bussers are hustling to make your evening an excellent experience. They've been at this location for over 55 years; and here's hoping they will be here forever.
