LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! We are vegan and always know we can come here to get something delicious! We are having my daughters birthday party here and they even let you decorate the banquet hall! They are unbelievably nice too. Best middle eastern food I ve ever had.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Charming owner and great staff. Very friendly environment for a family to enjoy great food! They offer arabian coffee, sage tea, and fresh juices made to order. They also have an amazing buffet on Thursdays and Sundays that offers the best lamb I have had in Indiana!
Use to be great but started slipping. Last time we were there my husband had a hair in his food. The waitress deducted a few dollars for it. I asked how she came about a few dollars when the meal was not going to be eaten after the discovery. She eventually took it off the bill. The have also changed their beef on the kabobs. Not sure if its new owners, new cooks or what; but not as good as it use to be......disappointed
I came from Cincinnati on business and I needed something different. The pita bread is very fresh. The hummus and baba ganouesh were delicious. For $20 I got the freebie food they give you when you sit down, an appetizer, soup, and a pita sandwich. They were all very good. I used the other reviews to find this place. Excellent food!
LOVE this place!! I have never had better hummus and pita bread anywhere, bar none. Just never anything but delicious food and I also love to browse the little store attached to the restaurant which sells assorted middle-eastern foods. Very unique, clean, good service, nothing but good things to say about this restaurant :)
Great Middle-Eastern Food, Great Prices
My wife and I recently met up with friends here. I had already been with them once before, but this time was to show my wife how good it was, even though it was around 30 minutes out of our way to go here.
They start you off with some really soft pitas and various dips: hummus, baba ghanouj, tabbouleh, etc. They change it up from time to time. I liked the cucumber-mint yogurt that was served this time; our friends asked for a Turkish salad which was also good.
My wife and our friends also had tea. I wasn't paying much attention to what types but they all enjoyed it.
Even though we were only ordering sandwiches, we could choose a cup of soup. We all went with lentil, which was a great savory (turmeric I think) and paired well with a few drops of lemon from the provided wedge.
For the main course, my wife got the falafel sandwich and I got a cauliflower sandwich: fried cauliflower served in pita with bit of lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber salad, like the falafel. Both were excellent.
We were all too stuffed for dessert, but we still had a great finish. The bill was under $30 with tip for the four of us!
As a vegetarian the place is great, but I think meat eaters would also like it with the various kabobs and lamb options. I would recommend this to anyone living in the area, maybe after a hard day of shopping at the mall.
