Gelsosomos Pizzeria, Michigan City

Being called an 'a**hole' as I am driving out of the parking lot is always a good thing for your business and employment. However, the food is really good!

Great for pizza, pasta and sandwiches. Dining in is great - all the waitresses are very quick and friendly. Ordering for delivery or for pickup can be sketchy: I've had those orders messed up. But dining in is a great experience every time.

I was very pleased with the 2 Large Take Out Pizzas. I expected much less but was overjoyed with pungent smells as I entered the establishment with my wife and her esteemed guest being honored for his birthday. The modest interior was not ostentatious and the menu stimulating with various pizza offerings. The sophisticated waitress offered various opportunities to savor real Italian/American fare and with her recommendations we commissioned a Pepperoni (Large) and Sausage (Large) pizzas. As our palates were challenged with earlier discourse, the chef was requested to provide light fare to the crust. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. The meal was well received and the dinner guests toasted the offerings. We will return and can only suggest others should heed this review and sample the excellent cuisine.

Coming in from out of town, it's hard to choose a good place with great food. The Gelsomos Pizzeria's pizza was excellent and the staff was outstanding. If you are in for good and plenty, this is the place to spend your dollars. The cost was right for budget conscious families, while portions are only over shadowed by the taste. Refills are free, and on time. We had left overs too so as to enjoy great cold pizza, my favorite. PS I'm from St Louis and we have some pretty darn good pizza places so I have something to compare.

Gelsosomo's Pizza is, by far, THE best in Valpo. I recently took my boyfriend (new in town) there. He's a Thick, doughy crust fan, and when I told him that this pizza would have a thin, crispy crust, he was doubtful, but quickly agreed that it was fantastic. Warning: if you get carry-out, it's not as good. The crust gets softer, and loses it's appeal.

I always eat pizza and I was in town, happend to see them ans thought I would stop by fro lunch. I had the 7 cheese pizza, it was Awesome!!! I loved it :) I will defiantly be comming back.
