We have been patrons to this restaurant for at least 6 years or more, in the last 2 to 3 years the food has gone way down...they went from making mashed potato s from REAL potato s to USING BOXED, mixed with real...awful! That was the last straw for us...the cream pies used to be sooooo good but now they are loaded with tons of way to sweet fake whipped cream. When we order for pick up, they are ALWAYS missing something in the order like the vegetable or the soup or bread etc. We were told by one of the employees that the owner is making them serve smaller amounts and is constantly making sure they serve less in pop refills and other product...that is just cheap! I won t be spending our hard earned money in this establishment any longer. McDonalds is much better than this restaurant.
For 10 or 12 years I looked forward to eating here whenever I was in LaPorte, but several years ago the food and service went downhill and I haven't returned. Too bad, it used to be a great place to eat.
I kept giving Round the Clock second chances. It never worked out. They are always rude, the food is wrong, they have a vegetarian selection, but sauteed to them means doused in oil (NOT olive either). The food is bland at best, I will not return. It is not worth the trip to the toilet afterwards.
Round the clock has always been a great place to eat. But, did you know that they can help you host your own dinner party as well ? Me and my wife had our rehearsal dinner there with 40 people. They handled our group with ease, and great service. The food was hot, and as ordered, managment came around four times to check on things. I give them the top most rating out of any restaraunt in the area within this price range.
Most restaurants treat their veggies as an afterthought, and a soggy, overcooked afterthought at that. This place, though, serves crisp greens in their pita-pockets and their salads, much to the joy of vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Likewise, the fish--something served at other diners as an oily, over-fried mess--is something fresh, luscious and just a little too filling to leave room for desert. Are the steaks, pork and chicken good? Probably, they get all the rest of it right. Don't let that fact make you ignore the soups and sides, though.
