Hessville Restaurant, Hammond

I've been going here at least once a week since I moved to the area in 1996, and seldom have had anything but a great meal properly prepared. The pricing is reasonable, the portions large, the pot roast special on Wednesday is delicious, and the staff is efficient and friendly. The menu is limited, true, but it's still a decent selection to choose from. I bring people from Chicago here and they love the place, too.

It is a very affordable place, but you get what you pay for if you are lucky. Last time I ate there, the fish was burnt to a crisp and they said they had no more to give me. Suprisingly it was still on the check and the cashier said well you ate it. Nomatter how affordable this place is, I will never go there again.

I stopped eating anything from Hessville resturant about 4 years ago. Everytime we placed an order to go it was wronge and poorly put together. Today, against my better judgement we ordered breakfast from Hessville. What a HUGH mistake. French fries were way undercooked, everything omlet was half scrambled then put on top of a piece of american cheese in the to go container, rye toast black! And that was one order. My granddaughter had 1 pancake she could eat of of 3, also black. I am so disappointed I will never eat from there again!
