In the over 41 years we've been in business, we've added many different types of pizzas to our menu. We now have thin, thick, wheat, corn meal and deep pan crusts in 4 sizes - 9", 12", 14", 16" and 25 different toppings to choose from. Salads, sandwiches, and appetizers fill out our menu. Our small and intimate dining room is decorated with Indiana Dunes photographs on the walls as well as driftwood and stones from the beach. You can also sit under the trees on our outside deck when the weather permits it. We share the building with Dunes Photography that offers you a nice selection of Indiana Dunes photographs as greeting cards or matted enlargements that are ready-to-frame.
Duneland is my FAVORITE and has been ever since I was a kid. Their pizza is thin crust, cracker thin, which is so savory. They put basil on top of the cheese, which is a flavorful touch, and the sauce is ample and sweet. The taco pizza is also great and we get that one a lot--kind of reminds me of old Shakey's taco pizza, only better.
When my father moved and was trying places for pizza, we were trying various places. We then ordered from Duneland.
When we ordered, you had to pay EXTRA for ANY cheese on your pizza. Supposably because the price of dairy went up with the gas prices. When the pizza arrived it was cold. There was very little sauce on the crust, and the crust itself tasted so bland...
I DO NOT recommend this place! I'm surprised how they are on business still.
and when we accidentally ordered from them later... Same thing.
