Best sushi in Indy. I highly recommend the Mistake roll. A friend of mine that we drag out to sushi restaurants typically hates sushi, he too loves the Mistake roll. My wife loves the green tea there and the sun roll. The salad dressing is really special there and you must the noodle soups off the menu.
I moved to Indy from Chicago, where I believe there is some of the greatest sushi in the US. So, I was very doubtful that I would find something as tasty and fresh here in the heart of Indiana. Boy was I wrong! Wasabi on 82nd is amazing! I usually eat there at least 2 or 3 times a month! The food is always delicious and the sushi and sashimi is so fresh! The pricing is very reasonable and I've never had to wait more than 3-5 minutes for a table. The service is friendly and the wait staff is very helpful if you're new to sushi and japanese cuisine! This is a MUST GO for sure!
I go to Wasabi about once a month. My favorite thing about it (besides the food) is the atmosphere. Wasabi has a formal area but is great for casual dining. I usually walk in for brunch or lunch, get seated very quickly, and get great quick service. The waiters/waitresses check back on you often which is good because often times you end up wanting more. You can get a great lunch for $15-20. If you go, you have to try the Mistake Roll (It tastes a lot better than it sounds ;D ) I would also recommend the Soft Shell Crab Rolls and the traditional California Rolls. At Wasabi you can get great sushi with a casual atmosphere.
