I made reservations for four persons at 6:30pm on Nov. 1, 2006. I was told in order for us to use two Entertainment cards we had to have separate tables. I asked to have two tables close enough to enable us to converse. Upon arriving at the restaurant we were told they did not have two tables close together that we would have to wait and the hostess could not give us the length of wait time. We choose not to wait since we had the courtesy to call for reservations.
I feel this was a way to not honor the Entertainment card value.
As a business owner, why would you want us to take two tables? Allowing us to take one table leaves a table open for another customer. In turn bringing in more revenue for your business.
Well needless to say, we have no desire to return to your restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone.
Thanks to your limitations on the Entertainment Cards we found another restaurant in Chesterton, which we enjoyed and will recommend to our friends.
My wife and I went here full of expecttation only to have one of the most dismal dining experiences we've endured.
The entree that tasted microwaved arrived ahead of the soup which was cold.
How they stay open with a really excellent restaurant nearby is a mystery to me.
Some people must take comfort in mediocrity or less.
Went there for our anniversary.I ordered a prime rib sandwich and the wife ordered Fettucini alfredo. They brought my wife chicken alfredo(she's a vegatarian) and myself the prime rib dinner. When I brought to the waitresses attention I received a laugh.I was told if we wanted to wait another half hour they would give it a shot.So she picked out the chicken and I ate my dinner. My kids have free pizza coupons awards from 07 and still haven't been back.
my wife and i love popolanos..friendly atmosphere and the service is great we have to wait sometimes for a table but its worth it...the chicken parm is awesome and my wife loves their homemade sangria. its a good place for kids ...very accomadating...and their cookie dough pizza...delicious!!! this is definately a place to go and hang out to have some drinks or to take your family to a nice dinner.
My husband and i eat at Popolanos a couple times a month and theres a reason we keep going back. The waitresses are sweet and friendly and had no problem jumping in to help one another and there was even a manager clearing offa table you dont see that too often...the food is amazing, the portions are big we always have leftovers. the desserts are addicting and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are a part of their family. We eat there evey chance we get!
The first two experiences were wonderful; however, last night was a NIGHTMARE! After giving our name and waiting a 1/2 hour for a table inside because I have allergies, the manager had the nerve to seat three people before us that had just arrived, never once bothering to check the list to see if there was a party waiting for a table. The young hostess apologized and said she would work faster on getting us in. It was after 8 and I told forget it, I will go somewhere else where they appreciate customers. They are so disorganized in their seating, while sitting and waiting the young hostess called out names and if they didn t response quickly she sat other people. People were either at the bar or sitting outside. They need to have either Chef Ramsey or the other English guy come and straighten out their problems. Next year when we go to the car show we will be going to Applebee s instead. What is even worse is when you have your taste buds set on something only to be highly disappointed.
Great restaurant if your in the Chesterton area. This Restaurant has a good variety of food and nice outdoor seating area. Service is somewhat slow due to the fact that they are packed every night. Different from your average dinner restaurant.
Was there for the last time last ever today. Service/food was not good at all. We ordered two surf and turfs. Lobster was over cooked-plus no butter searved with it, the crab on the top of it was fishy and bad. The steak was very very raw. (I ordered it med rare) My husbands was raw and burned on the outside. Meanwhile we hear other tables complaining about their food.
We didn't have a fork and the waitress took forever to get one. Then the raw steaks couldn't have been fixed because our waitress never came back! We had nothing to drink with our meals. It was a joke. We were sitting right by the hostess table with the manager lady standing around. Obviously we did not look happy. Nobody asked or came over to our table. I will not be spending that kind of money on junk food and horrible service again.
