Some of the beers are hit and miss, but most are quite good. Same goes with the food... I love the bangers and mash! The $9 chili, however, isn't worth $9.
Outdoor seating is the way to go... it gets a little muggy inside, esp. in the summer.
I don't go to the Brew Pub for the food. It's decent, but not the prizewinner. No, the Brew Pub does best what its name implies - beer. Just off the Monon trail, it offers one of the few outdoor seating venues in Indy (alas, I miss this the most compared with Europe and Caribbean). Indoor, the atmosphere will please a true Anglophile, with just enough shabbiness and warmth to seem more Irish than British.
While I am a fan of the more common imports of Guinness, Harp, and Killian's, I love trying the different brews available at the Pub. How ecstatic was I when I found one named after me. The Amy's Amber is delicious and refreshing, strong without being overpowering or bitter, slightly nutty but sweet (just like me!). Anyway, my given name is Amber, and most new friends and co-workers know me as such, but my nickname, and common name to my family and old friends is Amy. Confusing, yes, but one of those southern idiosyncracies. Now, having found a beer that is named after me (why can't I claim that?), I may just have to make it my signature beer.
this place is sooooo cool. tons of vegetarian items on the menu...which i didn't expect at a brew pub! get a steak or get a vegetarian sloppy joe (ooooh the sloppy joe was soooooooooooo good!). and of course their beer selection is phat!
