Slippery Noodle, Indianapolis

One of my all-time favorite venues for live music. The Noodle has gone through some changes in the past few years and my support has wavered, but one cannot beat it for a reliable good time. Many nights we have closed this place down listening to the likes of Mike Milligan and Steamshovel, Big Al & The Heavyweights, and The Christian Hastings Band. The Noodle used to have the best tenderloins in town, but they have been beat by Sahm's. Generally enjoying an eclectic crowd, most of whom are willing to dance wherever there is space, one can boogie down here. Lately, the bar seems to be limiting its variety of out-of-town acts, and the drink prices are relatively high, but this bar remains one of the ultimate venues for preserving the blues and celebrating Indiana history. A must-see for any tourist, and a regular spot for locals.

This is an excellent bar. If you love jazz music and plan to stop in Indy, you have to go to this nightclub. The music very nice, the atmosphere is mature and relaxing.

This is a great bar in a great location that is good for anyone who likes good drinks, good food and good entertainment. Very relaxed atmosphere that fits any lifestyle. Gay/Straight, Rich/Poor, Night on the town/Just relaxing.... if you're breathing, you belong here!

Awsome place for great Blue's music. Awsome awsome awsome! Decently cheap and the food is good too...But beware, if you don't like smokey places and loud music, don't go....Great for all ages!

this bar is absolutely the best for blues and fine spirits. live music all the time.. very good food and an atmosphere that is easy to have fun in....i highly recommend this bar for any occasion.....

My fiancee and I have planned our fall trip AROUND going to the Slippery Noodle. He and I split up 8 years ago and have gotten back together recently. The first timea round , we listened to a lot of blues. After we broke up, I could not listen to it anymore. We went our separate ways, married other people, and I even had a baby - but both of us have since divorced and realized that our place is together forever! So - to celebrate were we met ( a blues club he ran in Louisville which no longer exists) we are going to his FAVORITE blues club of all time. He raves about SN and we got a hotel within walking distance!! Anyway- my review is not the most well informed but I will finish it when we get back in October!! I cant' wait to get there!!!

I love this place! Drinks are great! The bartenders rock!! The music is awesome. You can dance in the isles! I did!!!

The Slippery Noodle Inn is a great place to meet up with friends for a night out... Dancing, great variety of drinks, good service with smiling faces, and the entertainment they have there is awesome! The place is downtown and very close to many attractions, with a history that is overwhelming! The food is made fresh and it's great as well... This is the place for fun!

The SLN has something for everyone. Food and drink are top rate with friendly service. The shows are second to none. Every night offers live blues and jazz that will entertain anone. Not a bad seat in the house.
